I AM CRYING TODAY!!!

You ask why?

Because I am getting ready to cut into these awesome Island Batik Fabrics...that is why!

If only you can see these up close and personal...you would cry too.

These are from the Lavish Collection....  Oh my stinking gosh...it just doesn't get any better than this but it hurts oooooo so bad to have to cut them.

Next month we are having an April Showers Island Batik Hop.

Can you guess what I am going to make?

Leave a comment and I will send you some Island Batik happiness!  Don't know what to send yet, but I will send you something fun rest assured.

Now on an even brighter note....I am getting a second grandson today, just waiting for the arrival as we speak.

Just a reminder - Wendy Sheppard's Book hop is still going on...be sure to go by, you can win her book and some awesome fabric from Island Batik (have to go to their blog to enter that one).

Of course, it must be April Showers - a pattern I think is adorable. Many times it makes me feel like crying, too, when I have to cut into fabrics. :(

I'm guessing you will make the April Showers table mat--those umbrellas are pretty cute!

Since it is spring - maybe a New "Tulips" quilt.

Congratulations on the new arrival! I thought at first you might use your cute April Showers pattern, but I think the Hearts and Flowers one would look awesome in those fabrics!

While I am not much for precuts that is gorgeous! Can't wait to see what you come up with for April. Congratulations on the new grandson.

Congrats on the new wee one! I'm betting you're going to make that round table topper with the cute umbrellas, April Showers. Either that or the last one, dancing flowers. I have a couple of collections too, just waiting for courage to cut!

I am thinking it will be something to do with Umbrellas -maybe in a circle - maybe a table topper. ;-)
The way that is packaged, I can see why you would cry about even taking it apart.
Congrats on the new grand.

A new grandchild will more than offset that crying. Congratulations to everyone! I'm in awe of so many patterns, Barb. There are numerous appropriate ones for the season! I hope your foot is better.

Oh what an exciting day for you!!! Be sure to show us pics.

Is the blue batik a project for the new grandson?

I don't cry when I am about to cut into favorite fabrics, I rejoice. Because it means they come out of hiding in the closet to be made into something that I'll be able to look at all the time. That's so much better than all in one piece hidden away. I don't know what you'll make, but I know it will be showy and a beauty with these fabrics.

I was thinking umbrellas, but since you sent us to your page, I guess you want us to pick from there. I am guessing Tulips, or Tulips and Tumblers.

I don't have to go to your Craftsy shop to know you will make your adorable umbrellas!

Ooh that is gorgeous fabric! I would think it has something to do with the April Showers Blog Hop and I'm hoping it involves a quilt. Although a mini quilt or table runner would be gorgeous too and lite up a room for spring. Thanks

Barb, you can always send it to me instead of cutting it. I won't say that I'd keep it intact. Of course, I'd have to keep it intact for a little while just to drool over it for awhile. But I would have to cut into it! BTW, Your quilt I won from you is still one of my favorites! So glad it found a good home in my house!
