FUN TREASURES INSIDE THE DRAWERS OF THE SINGER RED EYE

So many of you had wonderful information about this machine which I was
so excited to learn.
IMG_2316
The drawers were packed full of things plus extra like dead bugs, bug poop, rat
pee…need I go on.  It was hard going through everything without gagging.  But my
greedy self did.
Here are some buttons, tweezers, sewing accessories.  Does anyone know what the long needle
like things are.  I thought they were tatting needles but there are no eyes.

IMG_2318
Wooden spools.  I took a lot of the nasty threads off but left the ones
that were not too bad on.  The jar was mine.
IMG_2319
More sewing accessories.

IMG_2320
What amazes me is some drawers were a total mess and nasty and then
there were a few that left things alone…
IMG_2321
Tools I am guessing for the machine.  Those scissors still have the tag on it and
they cut like butter….yepeeeee  I lovvvvveee scissors.
IMG_2324
Now this is interesting.  I found it among a bunch of ribbons and material
that had been totally eaten up.  I couldn’t figure out how to open it until…..
IMG_2323
It just folded out like this.  It had some accessories for the machine in it.
I have oiled the box and washed the inside. Personally I have not seen anything like this.
Extremely well made, I just need to replace the fabric on it..or not.

Thanks again for the useful information on the machine.  I have not had time to answer your comments
yet.

WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THIS OUT BUILDING TREASURE

IMG_2316  IMG_2317
This little gem came out of the out building.

It is in rough shape.  My son goes, mom you can sell this….and me…I look at him like he
has just lost him ever loving mind.
Are you nutzzzz boy?????

He ask what I am going to do with it.

Good thing he can not read my mind.
Clean it up of course….use it…make it work.

I have been cleaning out the drawers, tons of roach and bug stuff…nasty..  I will show you the treasures from it
as soon as I clean it up. I can not begin to understand how someone could let this go to ruin like this.

This is for someone who likes to embroider, it is stamped but not embroidered.

We are finally cleaning out the out building.  You will not believe this but they have games that have
never been opened.  Planet of the Ape puzzle still in the wrapper.  It is fun but is a lot of work as well.

Yesterday one of my sons went up into the attic and passed down a box that was labeled "Quilt Tops" 1966

I actually made this quilt when I first stated quilting for a young gal who graduated college.  Wish I had a picture but I don’t.
I didn’t have much money so I used two different color sheets, I blanket stitched the flower center and hand quilted it…what was I thinking?

You can go here for the pattern:  Here is is called the Amish Dahlia, also known as the Missouri Daisy among other names.
Hope all of you are having a fabulous day today…I sure am, it is exciting to see what all is in this box, come back again for the rest of the story.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!

IMG_2249
This is the reason I do not have a Christmas tree…..  talk about a dusty dirty job.  There was dirt and dust a mile deep.  They came last week and didn’t leave until today….
I so wanted to decorate a nice tree this year, not going to happen.
IMG_2240
I did find some of my Christmas things and decorated the living room as much as I could.
IMG_2250

A sweet friend made me this…
IMG_2251
This quilt was hanging on the wall but the tile guys were coming in and out so much that it started falling off the wall…oh well…
IMG_2252
Fun huh???
