I have a friend that is having a birthday next month so I decided to make her a table runner. I love the colors but I am contemplating embelishing it with some hearts, flowers, something. Any ideas???? I have some big buttons, lady bug and flip flop buttons....does that help? Maybe I will go and make some more table runners??? I have enough for another runner just like this one....we will see. I am feeling much better now...don't know, must have had a bug.

Love the colors. Don't know about the buttons though. If she sets something on it and it sits on a button, it will not sit flat anymore. That could be bad if it was a bowl of food.

I must admit to the button comment - might make setting something on it too risky. I'm a fan of simplicity and would probably leave it, but if you can't a simple flower in a corner could look ok.
I like it that way, too...and the button comment is very valid. However, if you have your heart set on doing somethingelse to it, maybe you could applique one ladybug onto it (should probably be easy to google a ladybug and make a pattern for an applique of it...maybe put it near a corner. A butterfly would work, too. BUT...I think it stands alone just fine.

I really like that! I agree with other posts and would probably leave off the buttons. Although they would look really cute and give it spazzaza (<-- is that a word? LOL) they might get in the way. The table topper reminds me of spring! Oh how I wish it was right around the corner for us! lol
