HOW MANY OF YOU LIKE PREP WORK?

Sometimes I think I actually like prep work but it seems that it takes so much longer than actually doing the project.

I have prepped some more of those snap bag and key fobs to match....  Do you like prep work?

I had actually made six snap bags and fobs to match and a friend wanted them.

My sister Jeanette took seven of the first batch.

Hummmmmmm I see a pattern here? (no pun on the pattern)

A while back I made six of these runners, I got them ready to quilt yesterday.

New Tree of Life taking shape.....remember...this is not finished, it is in a rough form....and probably will not look like this when I actually get urrrrrr done...if I ever get urrrr done.

Also....the colors are so different than what you are seeing here.  I also think it is a good idea to take a picture of the projects you are working on because I can see here that I need to change some things up....nothing is ironed down....the tree base is the only thing that is attached so far.

Just on a second note...  Sew Cal is doing a designer showcase and today she has showcased me.

I am excited but embarrassed too....so if you want to hop on over there and check out her post, please do.  I am looking forward to other designers that she showcases in the future.

I need my husband...he is my advisor when it comes to projects like the Tree of Life.....I think he should quilt his job and just be here when I need him......what do ya think?   How dare he try to put more fabric in my bins, needles in my pincushions and most importantly food on the table.

"HAPPY TOWN FABRICS" another giveaway of these wonderful fabrics!!

Let's not waste time here...the winner of the four fat quarters is "Dancing thru Threads", need your address Sharon.

Thanks so much to all of you for coming by and commenting, sorry I did not respond to your comments but please know they were greatly appreciated!!

Now on to round TWO I told you once I had another project done that I would do another giveaway...well...here goes....ready for the ride?

I am giving away this panel....

and six fat quarters, maybe this will inspire someone to enter the "Quilts for Kids" contest using these "Happy Town" fabrics by Jacquelynne Steves for Henry Glass.

I can not thank Jacquelynne enough for this opportunity to give away fabric and to make things with this wonderful fabric.  The contest rules are on the side bar....just click and you will be transported.

You and I both know that working with fabric is such a pleasure, working with good quality fabric is even more of a pleasure.

So...this is what I created with her fabrics. The only fabric that is not Henry Glass is the white. How stinking cute are these????  Got out my trusty Accuquilt Go cutter and just went to town.

What an appropriate name for these fabrics "Happy Town"....just using them makes one happy....happy happy joy joy!!

That orange is just to die for....that dog and cat fabric....ummmm ummmm good. It is all savory. As always the quilts are prettier up close and personal.
I do hope that some of you will enter the "Happy Town" contest.  Maybe I will just send these to them?

I have not decided what I am going to do with these quilts.

If you also notice on my sidebar, I have a spot for Green Fairy Quilts Charity. Every since I found out about their Charity, I have been a fan. So....these may go to them.  If you have time to watch the video, it would be well worth it to do so.

There is the Homefront Baby Showers,sewcalgal/; brought this to the forefront over Christmas. KaHolly did a post on the Homefront here in Texas, right here in San Antonio is a chapter.

 Now I am torn.....

Then my friend Gene Black does a charity drive during Christmas for the teen shelter (Angel Quilts)...but I think these are too small for that.

There is always the Linus program as well...

.if you want to enter the giveaway, leave a comment and please go and visit Jacquelynne, The Noble Wife. She has a newsletter that is so fun. Hope you find time to go there and sign up. As you can see by her fabrics, she is one creative person and well worth the visit.  This giveaway will end Wednesday Feb. 15th.

NEW HEADER AND BLOGGER BACKGROUND

Today I get to tell you who made my blogger header and background.... are you ready?

I am sure some of you already know, if you have been over to sew cals, then you have seen what she has done with this new software "MyMemories Tutorial to Create Blog Headers". She is also have a giveaway of this same software.

She wanted an experimental blog and well.....I was her guinea pig...whohoooo, am I a luck gal or what?

I so enjoy my new header and background, Sew cal did an amazing job.

I am almost certain that most of you are familiar with her and her wonderful insightful blog but if not, you certainly have been missing out.

---------------------------------

I have decided to just grin and bear this new blogger, was told that we were going to lose our old blogger anyways....is causing me some frustration but I am sure once I get use to it, all will be well.  You know us old dogs, it is hard to teach us new tricks.

---------------------------------

Husband is home today and once again, he wants to go running around. ...this old dog is tired...... so he says....we can make a trip to JoAnn's...I am laughing because he just wants me in the car with him.  I will let you know later if it worked!
Will be gone for the next three weeks (I can tell you that because someone will be in this home, be it my husband or son)....but will be posting for the Reindeer Games. see my side bar button. Caroll has been in and out, I will be in and out...we discussed postponing the games but hey...if you all are willing to work with our comings and going and any mishaps...then we are willing to continue on...I believe we will begin May 11th.
Get your background fabric ready, your scraps of browns and a few Christmas scraps (remember Inchworm fabrics has some cute Christmas snowflake fabric).  Shameless plug for my sister.  I will let you in on a little secret, my blocks are 12 1/2 and you need nine of them.  Just so you know.

The question is....do you want to see the whole quilt before you commit?  Do you want it all to be a secret until the end?  What do most BOM's do?  Ours will be bi monthly (BMB)....and Remember, Caroll's quilt will be different, we are going to give virations.....
