I WANT TO FLY WHERE THE REINDEER FLY!

I want to fly where the Reindeer Fly.
Over mountains, hills, valleys, and skies.

I want to see what the Reindeer See.
                                                Vast oceans, canyons, pyramids,
                                                 and Seas.

I want to hear what the Reindeer hear,
                                              The silence of the night,
                                               tinkling of  the bells,
Up Up and away we go!

This is my day and final day for the Island Batik Getaway Blog Hop.  There are some amazing designers out there. They have done some awesome quilts, techniques and wonderful giveaways.  If you have time, it would be well worth your while to go and visit them.
Here are the Ladies that share my day if you want to go and visit to see what they have created with Candy Cane Lane and Icicle

I have had these quilts done for a while and it has been so hard not to show them especially at Christmas.

What wonderful Border fabrics.

My plans were to make a king size quilt but sometimes things do not go as planned.

Wonderful Aurifil Thread, as you can see this color is my favorite.  I have gone through a bigger spool and several smaller ones.  I truly do love Aurifil, I have purchased some from Missouri Star Quilt co.

Make up this awesome quilt!

I call it "Where the Reindeer Fly"

94 x 94

Then because my plans got foiled, I made this second quilt.

54 x 64
Makes a nice throw for sure.
The colors show up better in the second quilt.

Got in another pickle and well....as you can see above, I used the Accuquilt go heart die to fix my one problem.  Which made an amazing border.

Now it is time to snuggle down with some cookies, cocoa, and my Kindle light.

What better way to fly where the reindeer fly than in the imagination.

Don't you just love all the awesome fabrics Island Batik creates?

Two people have a chance to win

Just click on the above link and you will be transported to the Island Batik site where you can enter to win.  Doesn't hurt to try, right?

GREEN FAIRY QUILTS CHARITY FOR ROMANIA

Most of you know Judi and Clint at Green fairy quilts and I am sure you all have seen Judi's awesome award winning quilts...she is amazing.

I have been friends with Judi since day one of my blogging and I think the beginning of her blogging as well....she just draws you in with her wonderful family and husband.

Well...each year they go to Romania with quilts and food.

This year they are focusing mostly on food for the impoverished in Romania.

They would like to have enough money to give so when they leave Romania that there will be food for months afterwards.

Notice the button on my sidebar, you can hit that button and donate even if it is a dollar.

ALL of the money goes to Romania...Clint and Judi pay their own way there and back and their own expenses. That is why I love this Charity so much.

What I would like is to donate half the proceeds from this Reindeer quilt pattern to their Charity. You can find the pattern here

Now....don't comment and say oh Barb...that is so awesome of you...Not so.  Carroll from Attic Shop Windows is half designer of this quilt.  I emailed her and told her that I had the pattern in my shop and wanted to give her half of the proceeds.

She said she didn't want half, to do with her half whatever I wanted to.  So....this is what I want to do.  So I am donating half of the proceeds in Carroll's name.  So the praise goes to her.

Please share this post so we can raise money for This charity.....

2012 CHRISTMAS QUILT SHOW

Here is what I have so far. This cute quilt panel (given to me from Inchworm fabrics, she has awesome panels in her store) makes a fabulous throw for the couch.

On my kitchen table, this cute round topper!!

Then I have this little runner on my wall with a cute runner on the table.

Then most of you remember the Reindeer games, well this is on the wall in the livingroom.
Everything on the walls are held up by sewing pins....don't want to make big holes in the walls.

Now if I can just find my Christmas decorations....hummmm...that is one pain that comes with moving so much...never know where anything is.

Hope you all had a fabulous Turkey Day....I wish I had shown what I had around the house for that but was tooo lazy.

Thanks sewcal  and Michelle for this awesome quilt show. Not too late to join us!
