I decided that it was easier to do it in groups, searching for the right fabric among all of the cut pieces was tedious for one and I just felt it would go faster if I did it for more at one time.
I woke up yesterday thinking that it is almost the end of January and I had nothing to show for it, hence the two finished projects.
I also put two borders on a quilt I have not shown, or don't think I have. It measures 90" square. I am going to try to have it on the frame today. I am piecing the backing.
Sometimes I wonder to myself why I don't take the time and do some fancy quilting and I believe I said this before, if I did, things would never get done. I am not out to make a trophy quilt. That is one reason it took so long to get that one Hunter Star quilt finished, I was planning to do something fun on it. Finally decided to just get it done and out of the way. On to greener pastures.
Don't know what happened to that energy today.....I feel like a deflated balloon...haha.

WOW! I wish you could bottle it, too - you'd make a fortune selling it - ;))
Oh my but you did have a fantastic productive day. I really like your blue quilt. You made me giggle with your deflated balloon analogy. I have had weeks where the first 3-4 days are so super productive and then comes the day you can hardly move. We just worked so hard we wore ourselves out!
There are some days where the planets align, your chakras are good, you slept well, and everything falls into place. LOL Cherish those days. Nice finishes.
Those extra energy days are always fun! Not that I get them that often...
I'm with you, big plans and then realize that those big plans will make a project very long term and/or a chore. Done is better than not done!
Deflated today? Probably (no, make that surely) did way too much yesterday! It was more than I get done in a week (no, make that a month). 😏
Definitely a good day. You were on super drive. I love all your projects, but your project with your Hunters Star Accuquilt Go die and Island Batik fabrics just screams to me to make it too! I love those Island Batik fabrics and how they look so great in the Hunters Star design. You have such a great eye for color, prints, design. I'm always inspired with your creations. Dang, I wish we lived closer. But I'm so happy you are also a blogger. Thank you for sharing your #CreativeGoodness.
Oh, I love your quilts! But the log cabin is just so beautiful! I am getting ready to make some blocks to fill in with some house blocks I have that are paper pieced. I have the fabric but need to get it cut. Now that I see yours it makes me want to get started! So glad you shared your pictures! K- lkw2x6-apq@yahoo.com
Wow, that was one busy and productive day. I can't stop myself from doing the type of quilting that I do. I think it would go faster on a longarm though.
I imagine the world would not be safe if you woke up with that much energy everyday!!! lol. It is nice to have days like that. I really like that Hunter’s Star piece. The colors are so pretty. The Log Cabin blocks look incredible together. Is that the layout you are going to use? There are so many ways to put them together.
I do work in spurts, too and wonder why energy is not as consistent as it once was. I am exhausted today....some packing, some laundry, visit with son and husbands cataract surgery has done me in!
Great projects and that hunter star is so neat!
Your did lots of great work this week......lovely progress..... I to wished we could harness some of that good energy for some other days......
