CANNING JARS QUILT

Several people have posted the canning jar quilt on my facebook so I decided to make me one.

Unfortunately, my internet was giving me fits so I was not able to see the quilts.

I think I am going to go and round off the bottom of the jars.  That being said.

I decided to put some things in my pantry quilt that would probably be there in mine for real even down to the mouse.

One more row is needed.

I have food fabric but I want different because if these jars were in my pantry they would be with like items.  Maybe I can just put the like items under the jars above.

The quilt that was shown to me on facebook had the jars closer together.  When I was trying to decided how far apart to put them I just took the plunge.  Then I thought I should take it all apart and make them closer but then I said to myself "Are you crazy or what?"....

So....it is what it is.

What a fun quilt! It reminds me of all the years I spent canning. It was hard work but very satisfying to see the shelves full.

I have a lot of jar blocks from an exchange that I need to put together into a top.

Lol, you remind me of me, Barb! Asking myself all those questions until someone says "You are over-thinking this!" I then back off, and peace of acceptance of what I have comes quickly. This is perfect as it is! Peace to you...

I took apart a finished top because the snowball blocks didn't look right. Promised myself "never again"! Keep moving forward.

Love your quilt and think the jars are just the right distance apart. I love how you incorporated other pantry items in your quilt. Gives it character!
