I was thrilled with how it turned out.
I will say tho...working with jersey is hard. I cut out the back of the clothes and put pellon on the back with the raw edges turned under. The jersey still stretched. It was maddening.
Another issue I had was I like things organized and neat. I put this quilt together several times (not sewn but different formats on the floor). They all seemed so messy to me.
Finally I just went to work. I felt that it would come to me eventually so I went about cutting out the clothes and ironing pellon on them. The only item that does not have pellon is the little onesie with the ruffles on the right bottom.
Once I had that done, I went for the background fabric. I got that all together and sewn. Then I quilted in the ditch, put a binding on and then decided where the clothes should go.
I am pleased with the outcome but wish she had given me some dresses and pants. She told my sister she was happy with it and I guess that is all that counts.

Barb, that quilt turned out so cute! I love how it looks like the baby clothes just spread around on the bed or floor. Nice job!

Oh...my...goodness - that is adorable!
Really adorable but I bet the jersey was a pain! Great results!
That really turned out cute, but I am sure it must have been a nightmare to assemble. It is such a great idea.
Love it Barb you did a wonderful job
. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Hugs, Marie
It looks great, but it is not something I would attempt.
It turned out really cute, but like Gene, I would not attempt one myself.
Adorable! My daughter has asked me to do, will now.
Nice job! I am almost finished with one exactly like that! Yes, it was a bear to work with. I have to back, sandwich& quilt it but I had to take a break from it.

Hello Barb,
It is lovely to hear from you!! I hope you've been well. It looks like you have been busy. Love this baby clothes quilt. What a clever idea.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Hugs to you.
We used to keep some of the memory alive of our kids through various processes. Here also we can get baby clothes quilt which is made in the memory of kids from their clothes. It looks amazing and creative I must say that every parent should try these kinds of memorable things.
