PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MYSELF!!!!

I need therapy!!!!

This is six gallons of dew berries.  I had eight but I have made two cobblers since, one for us and one for a baby shower.

There is more to pick.  Lots more.

You ask why do I need Saving?

Because I have gone picking come rain or shine....with a hurt let walking on a cane.  Most of you know this is back breaking work....

So Sat.  I am hobbling alone, back aching, foot aching but I am still picking berries 3 hours later.
I kept saying......Vance....come save me from myself...I just can't stop.  Of course he can't hear me but....
here he comes rolling along in his truck.

He is shaking his head going....Barb....I thought for sure something happened to you.

Nope...but I sure need saving from myself....

He tells me I have a problem....

I am telling you I do too, I won't rest until they are all picked.
In fact, as soon as I finish writing this I am off....it if finally light outside.  HA!!!
That is what I have been waiting for...the Light of Day.

Now if I am out there too long, won't someone come and save me from myself????

I love the tornado implications of the design. Especially as we had 15 or 17 strike just west and north of us in Nebraska. This would make a great benefit quilt for one of the small towns that were extensively damaged/nearly destroyed.

Sorry Barb. I am not going to save you. I know that picking dewberries is hard work, but I am coming over to join you. Bring that walking came with you when we go so we can poke it around to get rid of the snakes. Now see what you've done? I'm hankering for a dewberry cobbler!

LOL maybe you do need to be saved from yourself. What is a dew berry? What is it like? I thought you were talking about blueberries and thought they must come early where you live. So you see, we all have ore problems. I'll bet you will appreciate those berries next winter.

PS - Next time, it is ok to think of the birds. And ok to leave some dew berries for them too. :)

What are dew berries comparable to in the taste area? I've never heard of them but they must be yummy if you're willing to do all that backbreaking work.

I love it!!! Me, too! I've picked strawberries, cherries, raspberries and it's soooo hard to STOP. It's not until I'm back home looking at all those boxes that I wonder '"What in the world; now you have to take care of all!!" Just plain CRAZY - me, that is, not you! lol

I have never heard of a dew berry before. I imagine I would be in the same boat and I would be picking until the cows came home! =)
