I TRIED TO BE STRONG!!

I have had these fabrics sitting....taunting.....screaming at me from Island Batik

Raindrops - you can find the line on their site

This is one of my favorite patterns.  I put batting behind the turtles and blanket stitched around them and then cut the batting away.  I can't wait to actually quilt this and see if the desired effect I want happens.

Clever idea! Such a striking combination of batiks. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Uhhh trapunto! I've tried that before and I loved the result, I didn't quilt anything inside the shape just outlined it when I quilted it and it got really puffy ( I think it was warn and natural batting btw) Now I did enter this quilt into a competition and got the feedback to quilt inside the shape, but that would make it less puffy..... sigh. I like MY way ;)

If it doesn't, whatever happens will be great! How could it not, this is stunning. I'm starting to like turtles with your projects looking so good!

You are a true quilter...no willpower when it comes to fabric! Love your colors and am anxious to see how you quilt it. I've never tried that method before.
