This morning before a friend comes over, I wanted to trim them up.
I will not tell you the name I called myself when I snipped off the seam allowance!
Seriously? Again?
Then I noticed that I had turned one of the Santa's faces inside out.....so I went looking for him...low and behold, he was the one I snipped off the seam allowance.
Well.....I had 32 to stitch, see...I told you 28....but sometimes it is good to be wrong because now I have a total of 28. I chose to top stitch mine instead of taking a needle and thread to close the opening.
Here are the fabric measurements I used, it helps to cut the fabric out first. I know most of you know that....

For the Santa's beard - 4 x 4 inch square
Face 1 1/2 " x 4 inches
Hat rim 1 1/2 x 4 inches
Hat 3" x 5"
This makes it go so much faster

These are so cute. oops Sounds like something I would do. Have fun with your sewing buddy.
Sometimes it takes me a few times to get with it. And then sometimes I get sidetracked. Ok... I get sidetracked a lot. LOL!
You are such a busy and productive elf!!
xx
Been there, done that! At least you ended up with the right number of Santas! :0)
My you got right back to things! Cute santas!
Adorable! LOL! I don't want to tell you how many times I've messed up some paper pieced piece...brilliant idea to just make extras!
Oh Barb...those are sooo cute!!!
A hint....a small strip of stitch witchery ironed into that opening will close the hole without stitching or top stitching.
I love them!!!
You are so funny. I think we've all done things like this. I love those Santas. Thanks for the cutting tip. That helps a lot.
Well those are just as cute as a button. Did you make the pattern?
The Santas are adorable. What a great idea.
I love these. I made these several years ago. I got my pattern from one of Eleanor Burns Christmas books. So fun and easy to make. I made lots and gave away...I always make ornaments every year. I guess I better get busy cause tomorrow is December! OMG, I can't believe the time has flown and we are already at the end of the year! Have fun with your little Santas!
Heh. I always make extras at the start of my projects, for exactly that reason. Best-case, you don't need them and can make some other small project, and worst case you can always sub them in.
Barb...wow just great
think i will be making a few of these santas
thanks
They look great Barb and I am glad that someone else does things like me....Thought I was the only one. lol. Hugs Vicki x
Cute Santa.... and you have time. I really need to get myself in gear.
I love your little Santas...they're precious! Thanks for sharing and supplying the pattern.
Too cute. Love them!!
Oh gosh those are very cute.
I'm very impressed you could work on these and talk on the phone. Looks like a minor challenge to me, as all of these Santas look so darn cute. Just delightful.

Aren't these the cutest things??! They look great.
These are really cute. Thanks for sharing.
They look great Barb! With your consent I could add your photo of the 28 and the advice on fabric sizes to the original Pinwheel Ponders page. I know from experience that when one is making more than one or two of something all time savers can make a project more enjoyable.
Wow, aren't them guys cute! Great tut, Barb!
Me ha gustado mucho!! te deseo Feliz Navidad y te agradezco que compartas este bonito adorno.
