THE POWER OF BLOGGERS!!!

I was over at Melissa's blog, Ardea's Nest

When she did this post the other day....I said to myself "I just gotta have it", I don't care what I have to do but just gotta have it!" If you click on her link above you will see her take on this vynl and how to use it.

Will be great for diapers bags, cosmetic bags, lunch bags....the list goes on....

Next, I have seen this "lil' twister on several blogs, I sure wish I could remember whos...sorry, I have seen it several times....but seeing again the other day and knowing that I was close to a quilt store...well......I was off and running again.

So....here is a site to go to to see some twister quilts

Quilting Fever

Life is a Stitch
Trust me if I was at home, you would have first hand samples from me. Oh....to be near a machine.

I think that laminate material would be wonderful for a lot of things. Check out my blog for the cute lunch tote my daughter bought me. I think I could make some of these. Do they make this foamy material? I love fast and simple. I could see these quilted. I could pad it with fleece but love the easy finish they used. Any ideas?

I was recently thinking I needed to make myself a lunch bag for work. I was wondering which vinyl to use and now I know.

I've seen a couple blogs using the Lil' Twister and have been contemplating whether or not to buy it. I think I might just break down and buy one. I like the idea that you can use charm packs and end up with a wow quilt.

You must be going through withdrawal without the machine close at hand. Poor baby! I know you will make up for it when you get home.

WHAT?? You don't have a sewing machine with out??? Maybe you can go to a retailer and ask if you could test all their machines and do some stitching in the process LOL.

What....I'm completely insulted....you did not remember it was me who posted about the Let's Twist on my blog? Oh I don't know if there are enough tissues in all of Houston to wipe my tears....a river will flow....and you will need a row boat :)

I have used the vinyl on several things....it is incredible....I think I may even have some downstairs in my stash....do I need to bring that to Houston too? How about some extra gigs of memory? If anyone asks if I've gained weight....I'm going to proudly announce, YES....it is the extra gigs I needed to remember who you are so I can come back and haunt you in my next life ...LOL

Smiles,
Kelly

I've seen Jackie's lil twister quilt and it really is stunning, love it! I'll be getting some of that laminate also, I've seen it on another blog. You need some hand work while you're traveling.

I used a laminated fusible quite a few years ago on a placemat/runner for under our Hanukkah candelabra. It worked well and washed well. I had seen it at a friend's house-she used on her kitchen chairs so that they could be fabric covered and still wipeable when the kids spilled.
