CLEAN BEFORE I CAN SEW DAY!!

My husband came home from lunch yesterday and as he was leaving he started counting all the quilts in the livingroom, dinning room and entry way...(11 to be exact).

I said, so what is your point? Thinking he was trying to tell me something.

He said, I was not making a point, I was just thinking how busy you are (good save).

At that point, I had my Go cutter out....and was cutting up a storm.

Well.....I always put my Go cutter away, fear of it rusting.

But when I got up this morning....this is what I saw on the kitchen counter....not too bad. For some reason I don't mind stacking to make things look nicer but never quite get it put away.

This is what I saw in the dinning room......still not too bad....???? Gotta get to that binding...

The living room....not bad at all, just need to fold that one quilt on the couch.

Ooops, gotta put these fabrics away....

My sons bedroom (boy I sure do miss him).....but hey, I can always just shut the door...right???? That saves me a few minutes there.

Gotta get to the floors and then I will be back humming away at that machine....yes...binding today....well.....maybe....sorta.... I am on it!! Right!

I always feel like the Peanuts character, Pigpen; wherever I go, messes trail along behind. I try to contain it in my sewing room, but it invariably overflows into the family room, my bedroom, the kitchen...

Your place looks wonderful, wish mine was half that good....hummumm I am tired, I just got back from birthday shopping, I need a nap. No cleaning today, it is 95, I don't clean when it is over 85. ;)

I think it looks very nice for a busy creative person.

While I am certainly not ready for my 12 year old to move out, I am already making plans for a large quilting machine when she does-doesn't hurt to plan ahead, right? I might actually have the money saved up by then :)

Nothing makes binding more fun than a movie marathon. Everyone could use and excuse to sit for a few hours without moving from time to time.

I love it when the other half can come up with a good save....I always compliment Bob when he does LOL.

Gee it doesn't look too bad to me....

I don't see any "cleaning" that needs done. Just sit down and get to binding.

What a wonderful natural light you have to sew by - no wonder you get so much done! And it looks fine to me... just normal everyday stuff...

Great post and another example to future quilters of the type of hubby they need to find. What a wonderful guy you married! sweetheart!

Actually, I think your house looks "artistically" decorated and very well organized. Afterall, you know where everything is - right?

You are my hero! Can you come organize my sewing room (and maybe my house)?

Friday was a cleaning day for me to. I find it very helpful as it clears my mind and gets me ready to sew (make another mess) again.

Your place looks wonderful! I love some creative clutter. You know what they say - a clean house is a sign of an uncreative mind.

I agree with Julia. Let's just call it creative clutter.

Quilts everywhere is a good thing, right? It's better than scraps of fabric everywhere.

Now, get to that binding. ;)

What is the problem? Looks like my house. My daughter's boy friend said to me last weekend, you know if you ever want to sell you house you need to declutter!!! NO JOKE!

Looks good to me!! BTW...I ordered a Go Cutter this week. Friend of mine told me of a webstore that had them 40% off. She didn't get hers there ( she got hers from our local quilt shop we frequent way too often but sense found this site) but has bought dies from this site. FedEX is to deliver it. Can't wait for it to arrive. NO CLUE where I will set it up when using it.

Like you, BarbI needed to clean before I could play yesterday. I did not play much after putting away all the stuff that I needed to. I also started to organize my son's old bedroom. I bagged garbage, sorted clothes and generally began to make some order of his chaos.LOL I plan to clean out his book shelves so that I can fill them with quilting magazines. There is a nice rocking chair in that room and all it needs is some serious organizing LOL. My sewing area is in the other room and I needed to find some fabrics so I could work on my summer projects. I did find the things I was looking for and a whole lot more- it was work but satisfying to have it somewhat tidier than before-
Today some time to work on a project or two.
Regards,
Anna

Did you get your binding finished?
My hubby asked me the other day when I was going to be finished with the quilt I was working on so I could sweep the floor! I just gave him a look :)

Looks like very organized stacks of WIP's or UFO's. When mine is messy, I'd be too embarrassed to show it with pics. Yours is clean...trust me.

Well, at least one can say you keep yourself busy. That's for sure. lol Thank you for sharing.
Happy Quilting!

Wow, you have been dang busy! It's a great feeling to finish up a project. I've been using my stash for the past few months to but lucky you to add some more fabric! I have this Quick Points Ruler on my wish list too! I can think of so much to do with it! I saw the video and it was amazing! Now I have to figure out why my blog roll doesn't update you when you do a new post...hmmm. I have a few to read here now!
Cindy
P.S. I use my son's room for my sewing room now too :) Thank heavens they will come home again! 15 more months for me.
