MADDER THAN A WET HEN!!

##%&@!!
Now keep it clean, I don’t cuss remember, the worst I say is crap!!

What has my panties in a knot this morning you ask?

I don’t know if I have told you but my Bernina broke. That was the only machine I had to take to the non profit or let people sew on besides my Pfaff (and I try not to let that happen).

Soooooooooooooooooooooo

On eBay I found another machine,an older Pfaff that I felt comfortable in taking it out and about.

So……when I found out I was coming to Texas and would be staying awhile, I had it sent to Texas to my sons.

EASY

EASY

EASY

NOT!!!!!

Fed X tried 3 times to deliver this machine to my son……then my son told them to hold it, he would come by. He never went by…..

@#??@!!!

So Monday we called, and they said they were closed on Sunday and Mondays….(I can see that you know where this is going)……so…we had to go to San Antonio….

We get back on Friday, call and guess what

@#%@!!

They just sent it back to the sender….!!

#@##&!! (remember, keep it clean))

So my question to you is, can I choke this boy out? PLEASE let me choke him out!!!

Good thing he was not home when this all played out…..he would have been choked out no questions asked.

He had two people wanting to choke him out…..!!!

Kids.. You can't live with 'em... You can't legally trade 'em for fabric. Remember what he has done when his birthday comes around!!!

Wish I lived closer so I could loan you one. Gosh darn!!! Could you check with a sew and vac shop there and tell them your situation? They might have a loaner too.

He's old enough...choke him!

If you don't want to do that then you could try what my kids do. Mope around the house mumbling that you would be sewing but for some reason you don't have a machine.

Oh Barb, Sorry for the mishap, that's kids for you.. Wish I lived closer to give you a loaner. Maybe you could try hand sewing or sew some stitchery. Or maybe just fondle the fabric some more.

Yep, I would be one unhappy mama too! I don't know about the choking part, but I would certainly be letting the boy know that it's not wise to come between mama and a sewing machine!

When they do something like this it makes you forget for a moment just how wonderful they really are. He should thank his lucky stars he wasn't home when you found out!! Gotta love 'em.

I can't even respond, cause you know what i would do! Just keep the faith and try again. Keep busy while you are here in the states, go visit with family or friends or just relax, take a deep breath and SMILE. Love Ya,Kaye

I say choke him out, gently of course. Then by hand because you have no sewing machine, I would sew the flap shut on all his underwear. Teach him to mess with Moma and her sewing.

A good swift kick in the rear might help but I doubt it. What's done is done.. Just a rotten shame and hope he feels the pain..

Sorry you had to go through that,, not right............

Yes, you can choke him out. If you need help, let me know.

Well...THAT stinks!!! I think...if I were you... I'd certainly not be cooking him any of his favorite meals while you are staying there....and remind him periodically just WHY you are not cooking his favorite meals for him. That might bother him more than choking him out! Aren't you near anyone who could loan you a machine??? I know I have two extras...one is on loan to a friend and the other is still here. If you were near me, I'd gladly loan you this one. (Most quilters do seem to have at least one extra machine.)

Barb, if this boy wants to make it through life unscathed, he has to learn NOT to come between a sewer and their machine!

Oh, boy, time to kill.....So sorry. All I can say is maybe there is a better deal waiting for you.....:)

Now, now, settle down! Take five deep breaths -- and then choke him! What a bummer! Don't you just love your kids sometimes! Sure hope you can come up with something to take back with you.

I say go ahead and choke him! But next time tell him the box will contain a large amount of $$$. He will sure be there to accept it then!

Mandy said...

I'd say "you brought him into the world, and you can take him out of it!"

LMAO! (PS I always read the A as arse b/c I don't swear much either)

I hope you get that all worked out!

Yvette said...

Yeah, tell him you are sending him a box of surprises and he will surely be there to accept. In the meantime, BEAT him. LOL

Sorry :(

Go ahead! Just make sure there are no witnesses. :)

Doesn't that boy of yours know enough not to get between his mother and her sewing machine? I doubt if choking him will help, but you can try. Maybe it will just make you feel better.

Joanne said...

I do not have any sons but I have a DD who can put on the edge in absolutely no time. So you have my sympathy! I know how you are feeling ... I have a friend I call and vent to. Too bad they are too old to send them to their room ort ground them for a year!!

Joanne said...

P.S. I love what Robin from rsislandquilt (or whatever it was) said ... that is a great idea !!!!

Crispy said...

Oh Barb!!! I hope the seller will try sending it again and then your son can absorb the cost of getting it to you in Samoa AND any costs for the seller!!
