I just have to say that my most favorite time of the year is fall. I love the chill in the air and the smell of fall.
Here is the fat quarter bundle I purchased from Quilt in a Day. Riley Flake "Farm House Christmas". I just love these fabrics....Happy Birthday to me.
Next I got a surprise package from Creative Latitude, there were two skeletons but my grandson has the black one tied to his backpack. There were also some other goodies but my grandson ate those. She was just sending random people little gifts for commenting on her post. She is one amazing person and friend.
Winding Ways Accuquilt die....why am I showing you this....because I want it....haha
The red fabric is Island Batik but I am mostly using Java batiks.
I swore I was not going to start another project until I got a few things done but those Java Batiks from Inchworm fabrics were just screaming at me....so I had to do something.
This is going to be Country Chic by Sew Kind of Wonderful using the quick curved ruler but the winding ways would really make fast work of this. I will say that my squares are 5", making a 10 inch block. The winding ways makes an 8" finished block.
My sister, Jeanette, at Inchworm fabrics has asked me if she sent me fabric would I be willing to make some projects and post about them, kinda like an ambassador. Who doesn't like free fabric....so I jumped on that in a heart beat. My first fabric is coming this week....I am so excited.

It is nice to get fabric in the mail. Happy Birthday to you from me too!
Ha, one of the dangers of "grandchildren" is that your treats are seen as fair game by them.
Another reason I wish we lived closer. I have the Windy Ways days and would be happy to share. Sorry, I'm not ready to give it away yet, but if you want to borrow let's discuss. And, I'm glad to hear you are going to be an official Ambassador of InchWorm Fabrics. She does have a great selection of fabric, which varies throughout the year, all at great prices and with excellent customer service.
Duh! Free fabric???
An ambassadorship again - what fun! You do great projects and it will be fun to see what she sends and what you do. The winding ways die would surely be fun to play with - so how did you cut your blocks- not the old-fashioned way. Fall does seem to be inspiring a bunch of us to get back to quilting and blogging!
Happy birthday to you! Can’t wait to see more of what you’re creating!!
I think my other comment was gobbled up by blogger. Or google. Anyway, I love those fabrics! Happy birthday!
Your grand steals your candy, and a skeleton....mine come and "shop" at my house for ingredients to make dinner or treats. I have a winding ways quilt which was a kit. I need to figure out how to make it bigger.
Fabric is the best kind of happy mail to get isn't it!! And you are so lucky to have such a sweet sister who gives you fabric to play with!! I am sure she didn't have to twist your arm to hard, haha.
New fabrics are always fun! I'm looking forward to doing something with what I bought recently, having now found (I HOPE) the bin of blocks I want that fabric to alternate with! (now if Miss Kitty will let me cut the fabrics without hurting her...)
Happy birthday, Bab. I’m looking forward to seeing what you create with your new fabrics. I have Winding Ways if you want to borrow it. I love the pattern too.
If you are like me.....my grandys are always getting little surprises from Nana......so it seems only fair that you (and I) should be giving ourselves little surprises from time to time......and FABRIC is always on the top of the list for surprises for me! Looking forward to seeing what you create as an ambassador this time.
