Making progress!!!!

There are weeks that are so peaceful and quiet and then there are weeks that I don't even recognize because I have too much to do.  It has been that way for a while now but.... the winner of the runner pattern is Lin Marsh.

Thanks to all of you for coming by and commenting on my runner.  It was fun to see it come together.

Here is the progress on the sewing room.

Here is a little iron (it is really heavy for being so small).  My husband found it out in the small storage shed.  Yes, one more shed to empty.

Have a warm day...it is freezing here.

The sewing room is coming along so nicely. It is so large and will be a great space to create.

Your sewing room is huge. We are freezing here in Austin too. A delayed start to work again today.

Your sewing room is starting to look great! It is cold here too. This morning it was -14C (6.8F) with a windchill that made it feel like -31C (-23.8F) I went to my Tuesday morning group at the church and it wasn't any warmer. Three out of the four furnaces wasn't working. I think it will take my fingers a whole day to warm up. Think I'll make some little hand-warmer rice bags this afternoon.

I can understand your crazy schedule. Moving into a new home, getting all the work done, settling into retirement, designing, quilting, caring for a family and helping others....busy, busy, busy. But I love your finds and hearing what you are up to, when you have a chance to share.

Stay warm. Spring is on its way.

Wow Barb that is a wonderful room, is that a fireplace to keep you warm? It has been so cold here I don't ever remember a winter this cold for so long.. The temp has been -30c and my arthritis is so bad but I am still sweating and changing clothes three times a night. Do I sound crazy or just fed up. Blessings

The iron is really cute. I love to stop by and see what new treasures you have found. I'm sure it is overwhelming to have to deal with all of the clutter you have to clear out, but the little goodies that turn up seem like a reward.

I have been stalking you to see your progress, though not always commenting. I love the iron....I have one, which was (I believe) owned by my Grandmother. Your sewing room is going to be awesome! Well, it already is!

what a great find...hopefully your sewing room will be finished soon..looks like it will be a huge creative space...love the little iron...it is so cold here...was 4 degrees last night with wind chill and we have snow and ice! the roads are horribly covered in ice and since we are not prepared for this type thing it is horrible.
