COME WALK WITH ME!!!

This is my husband’s dream and I am just lucky enough to live in it!!

So come and walk with me.
I have my cell phone (not that I will answer it, just incase I run into trouble),
got my cane (there is a not so nice dog that comes around, the cane is to konk him on the nose if he bothers me)…
.got my camera (don’t know if I will take it every day but for today.
When it warms up, I think I will take a book…you will see why later.

Let’s go through the gate…..never forgetting to shut it back!  Don’t want any lose cows.

This is to the left.                                                 This is straight ahead

To the left as well…see all of the years of dumping?  Poor Vance will have to take care of that!
005

This is to the right…more garbage, tires (lots of them), water heaters, batteries, you name it..it is here.

Now we are going to go walking to my favorite place.

Here it is…..this log is where I like to answer the questions of the universe and problems of the world.
Don’t have them solved yet so I will have to come back.
012
“Are you very weary?'
rest a little bit
in some quiet corner (place)
fold your hands and sit
do not let the troubles that have grieved you all the day,
haunt this quiet corner…..drive them all away!!!
Soon you will feel so rested
Glad you stopped a bit
In this quiet corner (place) to fold your hands and sit"

Now that we have rested we are going to walk to the pond…

Tired yet?
023
I was gone so long this morning (for you it would be yesterday) that my son called me on my cell and asked where I was, he was worried I got lost!

Now you can not walk out in the pasture without a little cow pie…
032
cow trail
036
Did you know that the cows make trails?    I got this off line
“  I watched them get into their single file line and walk their cow path to their breakfast.  Creatures of habit, they walked with their heads down following each other and sometimes nudging each other forward.  Vocal and eager for something to eat they marched passed me intently all the while calling out to each other, summoning the other cows to join them on their march to food.”

I love these cedar berries
035
another small pond
043
The most fun part of the walk…the creek…oh my??
What is a little old gal to do?
Oh yesssss  jump in it!!!  There is a little gal in all of us (or boy).

Like my boots?

Now it is time to head back home or I will be getting another phone call.

Enjoy your walk?  A lot of you said that nature inspires you so I decided to give you some.

great piece of property. we had to do a lot of cleaning up on our property too. I hate litterbugs.
For many years people would still dump stuff but after being here for several years they quit because we keep it picked up when we see it. Unfortunately we never could catch anyone. Enjoy!

What a lovely post. It was like I was there walking with you and seeing your beautiful place. You have cows...are they milk cows? I didn't know you had a farm. Your boots are cute too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful peaceful moment.

Oh Barb it looks so lovely ther how I envy you this lovely place in which to spend hopefully many happy years. Going for a walk like that clears out the cobwebs of the mind and rests the soul. Have you finished the move or is it still on going. Now we need to see the pictures of the house. Love your boots! I hope things are going well my friend. Hugs Sandra

Barb,

Lovely to hear from you. This looks like it is dream land for my husband too - what a difference it is from northern VA!
