"SO LIKE THE SANDS IN THE HOURGLASS, SO ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES"

As some of you may have noticed, my blog post have been few and far between.

Which is not A big deal, sometimes we all need a break! Right?

Well....my husband and I are transitioning into a new phase of our lives.

We are finally buying as our sons put it "Our death home".

When we lived in Missouri I always thought I would never leave that home.

Then we moved to Lampasas and actually had the home of my dreams and for sure was not going to leave but we did for an awesome adventure to Amerika Samoa.

We moved to Virginia, back to Texas and soon to be to a little town in  TX.

This home is definitely not my dream home but it is my husband's dream land.

The man has worked hard he deserves his dream.

While he is busy living his dream, I will continue to live mine in my sewing room.

...for now I will pop in and out and maybe lurk around your blogs.... if you feel someone is watching you (it just might be me).

Well, your sons certainly have a way with words. LOL The land is beautiful! I understand about men and their dream land. I bet you will be happy there also. Hope you will share more photos soon.

Oh no....another move? Is it on water?

Wow Barb, another adventure!! I agree, our husbands work hard, and deserve their dream. We made that move 3 years ago. I'm not sure this will be our "resting place" but this home has fulfilled the dream both of us had to invite people, and show hospitality. Where is this little town in TX. That's a big state, you know :-)

It looks like an idyllic setting. I'm sure you will be very happy there. As long as you have a sewing room, what else could you ask for? Just don't call it a 'death home'. Call it your 'best ever sewing home'. Your sons deserve a slap up the side of the head!

Looks beautiful to me. I'm sure you will be happy wherever you are because you are such a positive person. Keep blogging. Love hearing from you and keeping up with all that you are doing.

From the picture, I would say it is East Texas. I live in Emory, also a small town. Would love to have you as a neighbor. And it is not a "death home". It is your "life house" as you begin your living in a new season.

Well I loved your post. My Grandson is always reminding me that we could die at anytime.....giggle. So true! He wants to know why I walk like an old lady....giggle....too much. I told him I'm as old as dirt.

Enjoy your death home. I'm hoping my current place is the same! :) :) :)

I sure don't think of it as the death home! It is the place where you can do all the things you have wanted to, but were too busy before. We are in our "last" home, and it has been so nice. We love it.

Where? :D

Congratulations Barb. Maybe you can make your dream sewing room!

You and your husband can make this your dream home together because hopefully you won't have to move again. It seems we might have another move but at 71 I just don't want to move again I am too tried.

"Death Home" -- funny boys!! Not for a long time we hope. My idea of a dream home has changed over the years, but the most important ingredients always remained the same: God and family.

I'm happy you two will finally be able to settle in and it's in Texas. Are you close to any of your family? Can you work on the house and make it your dream home? And most important, will you have a nice sewing room?

OK, you moved to Texas and now you are moving again...to another place in Texas? Girl I'd say use paper plates always and never unpack anything other than your suitcase and sewing room...it'd be much easier for you :)
