HOLY STINKING SCRAP!!

So if you have been reading my blog, you all know that I am at my mother's. My sister Beverly and Mother (Quilter's Corner) have the most amazing scraps. Yes...scraps!!

Some of you know that I have been using my Go Cutter to cut through some of those scraps. But.....some of the scraps were in yardages.... I would go...are you sure this is a scrap? Some of them I just could not cut into....so.....

so.....

I have made a home for the lost scraps. Anyone for scraps anonymous? I was actually drooling over their scraps, how bad is that?

Now...we all know that I need scraps like I need a few inches added to my behind!! But....home girl is taking home a bag of scraps.

Right now I have several projects I am working on with the scraps. Been up since 5:30 and sewing.....whohoooooo!!! Back in the saddle again!!!

So before I get back to my sewathon (before mom wakes up), I am going to leave you with this picture

This fabric line is called "Are we There yet," my sister blogged about this today but she didn't mention that you can find it in her store, Inchworm Fabrics. I just love this quilt top, her daughter Jennifer and her made this while Jennifer was visiting a week or so ago. I just have to have this fabric (you hear me Jeanette...wink wink!!)

Have a fabulous day, I am back to sewing again and will share picture of the scraps I have been using.

I'm loving those trees. And a yard isn't a scrap to me, either. Lucky you.

Barb, I'm telling you that when you have a GO!, scraps are like loaves and fishes. If I lived to be a million, I'd never get them all sewed together.

JustCindy [above] hit the nail on the head.
I think we all could adopt this attitude. Scrap It.

Our GO! is great for such 'scraps'

I love to work with scraps, especially somebody else's. It's like gambling with other people's money...you can play and not worry about messing up. It's like it frees you of all your inhibition. Ooh, have fun with the scraps and I'll join you with the Scraps Anonymous when you get it going! Ha ha, have fun!

I love JJ's quilt and love the fabric too. The title of the fabric is great too.

Great Christmas quilt.

I know what you mean about scraps though. I have my own scraps from quilt making and making dresses for daughters and I have my mother's. I am busy trying to tackle scrap mountain.

That's a lot of cutting going on there.... I notice different people have different ideas about how big a 'scrap' is.... mine are quite small...

I have 4 bins of scraps I need to get into. I need to get out the iron and my Go cutter and get these scraps in order. I too am a scrapaholic......
I live about 45 minutes from New Orleans. Are you still in Louisiana?
Are you going to the quilt show in Houston in November? I'm planning to be there. '

If it is more scrap than you can handle, my friend, I could help out! What fun to share with your family.
