NEW HOBBY - THE UNFINISHED!!

Last night I made these. I like this idea because I am tooo cheap to buy cards. It is rare for me to buy one.

Mondays Card making session. A few of us gal got together and we made these. I felt way out of my element....give me a piece of fabric and I am in the zone...but card stock???

This is a 14 card workshop, you need 2 sheets of different patterned paper, 2 sheets of different colored paper, one sheet of neutral, and 7 white card stock paper. You are not suppose to have any scraps. I have a confession....I had scraps. I had mistakes. On my report card will be written, she does not follow instructions well.

If any of you are interested in the pattern for this no scrap cards....I would be happy to scan it over.
Now for the unfinished....well...I did finish this little guy last night but he needs to be sandwiched and bound.
Finished the stitching on this guy as well. Should someone tell him that smoking is bad for his health?
Did up a bunch of penguins. Now I don't know what to do with them. I had a plan but the plan did not turn out well. If you want the penguins, they are yours....the first to say I want....will get them.

Still undone.
Not done...
These were suppose to be gifts....I don't think I can make it in time. This one here I can't get the measurements to work out. I can add a few pieces of fabric here and there...so much work has gone into this that I don't want to throw it out. Should I just "MAKE IT WORK?"

Today there is no time. I have Young Women's tonight, it is my responsibility tonight for the craft. We are painting on ceramics. Someone donated the ceramics and paints. I have to run to the store for items, make treats, find my Christmas music (I know, should have already had it out).......so that is my day.

Tomorrow I am going to be on SEW WE QUILT

great projects Barb. I think the one with the quilt house is so adorable. Can you tell me the pattern name? Also, the stitchery with the sewing machine .

The little penguins would look really cute with stars, Barb. I'll make them up if no one else wants them.

Do you really have time for a new hobby???? LOL I can't get done what I have now.

Didn't you realize that there are soap bubbles in the snowman's pipe?

All your work is lovely. the cards are great. I think that I would also have leftover scraps.

If your adorable penguins are still looking for a home, I'd be most happy to adopt them.

I can make reasonable cards but then I don't send them in case friends think I'm too mean to buy
I love the redwork , it's something I am into at present

I've always been a sew-er. I started when I was eight, but lost the mojo in my twenties, only doing projects now and then. I did papercrafting for about 8 years and was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator before I jumped back to sewing in earnest. So I have to say, those cards are SO cute! And I love the idea of no scraps.

I love all your embroidery work. Beautiful! On that last one, I say make it work. You put an awful lot of work into it. Add some sashings to make it even out. It will be beautiful and no one will know the difference.

You always amaze me with how much you get done!

make it work, use the snowmen as labels or focus pieces on potholders, mug rugs etc...

A new hobby!! That would be great with your go cutter. You could make all sorts of cards. Love your Santa stitchery. Oh yes, make it work. That is sooo cute. May I ask the pattern?
I would just add fabric as sashing. It will be beautiful!

Have fun at your craft night tonight with the Young Woman. Love all your projects. And, I'd definitely be interested in your "no scrap" tip for creating greeting cards. Very cute.

I say make it work for the last project. What you have done is beautiful! And don't mention to the snowman that smoking is bad for him. He isn't going to live long anyway so let him live it up.

Well Barb we always have that last few things that aren't done. I have had years I have wrapped up things with promise to finish in new year.
I tried the card making thing to and have numerous supplies and stamps etc. but just never do it. I think I would rather sew. One year I stenciled all my cards and what a time consuming job that was. I did my wrapping paper that year to. My daughter and I still laugh at being down on floor stenciling paper. Now I just buy them. I am the type that is always trying something different until I discovered quilting and I found the perfect thing for me.

I love your cards....they don't look like you are a rookie, or out of your element! They look great!
I'd love to know the pattern for them - might it work for Christmas cards?

I love hand made cards. If I ever decide to start another hobby it will be card making.

For your last project I say make it work. Is it supposed to be a wall hanging? Maybe add some borders to get all the sizes to work together.
