So I showed you this yesterday from Pat's book...(see post below)....I love flowers, I love baskets...I don't need another project...I really don't but......
I just can't help myself. I really can't, it is like chocolate, you can't stop til the last drop of chocolate is gone...
But I thought since I finished this....
I could start the other project. I figure we were giving a sense of reasoning and well...this is my reasoning.... One project out, one project in....
No fabric choices yet...but I do have it drawn on the fusible.....oh yesssssssss momma bejeweled is in her element.....now to choose the colors......neutral or color? Neutral or Color? HUMMMMM

lol Barb!! love the sunbonnet sues; just too cute! you picked one of my favs out of the book too; have fun!
It's very hard to avoid a new project when such a lovely book comes to live at your house!
Hugz
ohh, the natural looks good, but i do love some color!! can i just say how cute those sunbonnet sues are? sooo cute!
That sounds good to me, one out one in. Thing is I need to get one out first. We are so impatient arnt we , we see something that speaks to us and we need to start it. Love you colourful Sunbonnet Sue quilt.
That red is lovely! Keep going with the colours :)
It's adorable. Go for it!! I'm partial to neutrals.
Sometimes you've just got to! lol I love it, so I'm with you!
Color....no...neutal....no color. Oh either
how about one of each?? ha ha I want that book too!!
C, O, L, O, R, bright and vivid -like the crown jewels - or perhaps the foundations of heaven:
“And the foundations of the walls of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones....” Revelation 21
Hehehe, if there isn't 6 projects on the sewing table at once. I would get bored and lose my mojo.
Of course you can start a new project since you finished one. A quilter must have the same number of projects or more at all times.
Sound rationalization!
I just can't picture you going neutral! Just can't...
Those flowers in the baskets are beautiful! I love the neutral colors it's shown in, too! :)
I think your reasoning sounds perfectly logical. LOL! I can't wait to see your new project. A few years ago Alex Anderson published a book similar to this and ever since I have wanted to make a neutral quilt.
Barb, you should make it. It is beautiful. Your Sue Bonnet is just so gorgeous!!
It's so beautiful in the neutrals, but my guess is you'll be adding some color! ;0)
Sounds logical to me - it will be fun seeing what fabric you choose.
The basket quilt looks wonderful. Always something tempting us, isn't there!
If you do it in neutrals, you could keep it! I seem to remember you saying you don't use bright colors to decorate your own home. With all that you do for others, you should have something to call your own. Just a thought.
I just love your red Sunflower Sue quilt
I love this neutral book. I've been picking up neutral fabrics to add to may stash.
HA HA HA!!! I was pretty sure you'd not be able to ignore those fabrics calling to you....have fun with the new project! (The Sunbonnet Sue is toooo cute!)
XOXO,
Cyndi
That's truly a beautiful piece in neutrals - I think you'll love doing it. :) blessings, marlene
Either way it will be gorgeous!!!
So Adorable!
I like that book and the idea of neutral quilts-seems perfect with winter coming to cool down the colors.
Run with it. Whatever color you pick out will be great.
Your reasoning is impeccable! The neutrals quilt looks like an exciting project.
best from Tunisia,
nadia
So..........GO for it......and enjoy!
I'm voting for neutrals, Barb..... go for it!!!
Personally I think color would be my vote. But Barb you have to do what feels right to you or you will never love it.Blessings Sandra
I just love that Sunbonnet Sue! Very colourful and pleasing to the eye.
I think neutrals are definitely the way to go - if you have any and can stick to it. But if you did do colourful - it would be fantastic. You have an impecable eye for colour.
Pretty finish, sounds like starting a new quilt is the perfect way to celebrate.
Love the neutrals. It will make a lovely quilt.
Love your Sunbonnet Sue in reds! So pretty!
Argh, I was going to say neutrals but you do such great work with color I don't have a definitive opinion. How about one of each? :)
You're already committed to this one if you've traced the pattern onto the fusible. I love brights and naturally lean that direction, but the photo you showed looks terrific in neutrals. If you're considering something that matches your home decor, would neutrals work better? I'll look forward to seeing which way you decide.
So gorgeous the baskets, Barb.
BOO-T-ful Halloween wishes
TTFN ~
Hugs,
Marydon
The Neutral quilt does look lovely (as your Sun Bonnet Sue) - can't wait to see your version!
The neutrals are elegant but go with your which ever fabric speaks to you.
