I forgot I borrowed the beige fabric.....OOOOPPPSSSSS and I needed 4 2/3 yard of it....well....what was I thinking????
So.......to make a short story long
Lately as I pass by my fabrics or go and choose a certain fabric...this little voice I hear......
Barb....what about us???
Have you forgotten we are here?
I just look at the shelve where this voice is coming from and whisper....
"Man I sure do love you"....how many of you talk to your fabric. I touch the fabric and say...."Someday.... Someday"
Well.....as I was trying to figure out what to do...those little voices came to me again....and here they are....
Oh....such yummy goodness......and I could no longer deny the urge to slice and dice these fabrics.
I know, they are not Thimbleberries fabric....I did audition some fabrics but that little whispering kept calling me back....
So.....I decided on this pattern.....
Started making it with these fabrics.....
Now the problem is......what to use for the border? I don't want it to be tooo wild....but these colors just say fall to me and I just couldn't help myself....I could say the devil made me do it....but reallly???
So...here the project sits....but you have to give me one brownie point for remembering it was Thimbleberries Sew day,
I love those colors!I see teal in some of the fabric, maybe a teal border.
LOL Barb, you do make me chuckle, as I see myself talking and stroking my stash! I'm sure there is that light tan batik that would do just great for the inner border, and the orange and purple on the left in the middle that would be just dandy for the outer border! This is going to be sooooo pretty!
You are so cute! That is going to be so adorable.
You are so cute! I see either a soft neutral beige for subtle or the aqua for punch.
Have a great week ~
I love the colors your chose and yes they do say fall.
Love the colors you chose and yes they do say fall.
I have to admit (and only here because I don't want to be locked up in a padded room) that while I was sorting fabric scraps earlier I was not only stroking and talking to fabric, but I was apologizing to the little strips that were really too small to keep as I was throwing them away.
The pattern looks really cute.
Barb you get double brownie points for remembering what day it is. You get extra points for making an oops into a good thing.
I am thinking a chocolate brown might be nice. But then I could be totally out in left field. I sometimes am with my own ideas. I never know until I do auditions.
Barb you are too funny. Good luck with your new project and those wonderful fabrics!
I like this. Purple is gorgeous!
Love the fabric. Good thing it was talking to you, and not sulking! How about a cream inner then the same colour family in the border. Or just listen carefully, and let the fabric talk to you again.
I like it. A lot.
I like it a lot.
I like it a lot!
Love the colours. How about a dark purple for the border?
Hahaha you and I both need fabric therapy. Are you going to applique the flowers. If so I vote for a light border so the flowers will pop.
I just love the fabrics you've chosen...this will be gorgeous...you've given a boost to Thimbleberries Sew Day.
It is lovely, and it counts. The word "Thimbleberries" is involved, right?!
I love it...very pretty and fallish. A border will come to you, let it sit and admire it for a few days.
And here I was thinking I was the only one that talked to fabric, Love your little story.
The table runner looks great, but can I ask what Thimbleberries sew day is?
so pretty Barb!
