TUESDAY MORNINGS

I just popped into Tuesday Mornings yesterday and this is what I came out with, cost me 4.99 ....

This set....I tried to feel the fabrics to see if they were quality fabrics and I have to admit it was hard to tell. Got them home and the majority of them are great fabrics with the exception of a few...not too bad...
got these needles for 99 cents each.....
Then I noticed they had a slice ( cutter) for 99 dollars, now that was a good price....it pays to pop in there occasionally.

Now...most of you may see a pattern with me. I have my manic stages where I go crazy and get a lot done and then weeks like this one where I am not being very productive. No....I am no bi-polar or manic, it just sometimes I have weeks where I am taken out of the home more than others....and I will confess I am prone to headaches like a lot of you are, sometimes I can continue to sew through them and sometimes I will just nurse the dog out of them...(that means taking it easy doing not much of anything). Am I complaining, hope not, just a part of life and well...like most of you, we roll with what we are given and do the best we can. Each morning I wake up and am very grateful that I have been given another day to live...isn't it great!!

I do understand, painful living seems to be a way of life, and some days are better than others for most of us. I'm grateful for the good days, too.
I love the Mary E. prints, Barb, and have a few of those myself! You'll enjoy the projects you make with them. Now, what is a cutter...?

Yes it IS great. And I think I've been going through the same pattern. Lots of sewing, and then lots of time with none. Sometimes it's hard to stay focused. I am so amazed at how some quilters make so many tops AND finish them ALL!!! sigh........

You absolutely nailed it with the whole headache thing -- sometimes they can be ignored and worked through and other times, one has to give in a bit. You get an absolutely amazing amount of things accomplished, headache or not!

I agree totally no one is guaranteed tomorrow, and you got some very good finds.

Great buys, Barb. I really need to visit Tuesday Morning more often. Hope your headache is gone soon.

What kind of store is this and where do you live?!?!?! =) I wish there were a fabric shop around with such great prices!

There is a store called Ollies that I've visited...and they had a slice for $69...so I wouldn't pay $99 for one if you're gonna get it...you can find them for less. I got mine on Overstock.com...and I think it was less than $99. I've only used it once...but it was nice.

Thanks for sharing your fun finds with us!

I understand the ebb and flow of creativity oh so well. Some times your creative brain just needs a rest.

I happened into a TM the other day too. Like you, I found the fabrics to be quite satisfactory. I got 60 charm squares for $1.99!!!!

Hope the headache passes soon, Barb.

Great score! You are so lucky. Our Tuesday Morning went out of business. I liked that store.

You don't have to talk to me about headaches, I suffer from acute migraine. Some I can put up with others completely floor me and bed is the only place I want to be. I haven't a clue what tuesday mornings are but sure you will let us know. Anyway the fabric looks good.

I think we are all the same way when it comes to creating. Sometimes I will be on a roll, then I hit a snag and don't create at all.
I am going to have to go to Tuesday Morning store. You get such good buys.

Our Tuesday Morning used to be great but now it is a junk pile. I haven't been in there in a while but seeing what you found I might have to go back. I am the same as you are. Sometimes I sew every spare minute I have but now I am in a lull. Trying to get back in my routine after the summer.

I know what you're talking about with the not wanting to do anything at times.... that's the period I'm going through right now.. it's too hot to do anything ... LOL
As for the headache, been there, as well. Bless your heart. You can hardly get anything done with a headache. I'll give a prayer for you. Sometimes a cold compress helps..... just sayin'

After reading your blog and a lot of the responses, it is nice to know I am not alone! This has been one of those off weeks. Maybe cool weather will help. We don't have a TM close, think I will check on line.

Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue. I hate headache days! Great finds! What is Tuesday Mornings?

Great finds. Don't you just love a real bargain.
You are not wining, just stating a fact. I don't have migraines, but I cannot function at all with a headache. Hope you have more good days than bad.

Yep, I'm just the same. It's either all go in the sewing room or complete standstill.

I've never heard of Tuesday Mornings (well, I have, of course, but not with capital letters), what is it?

Our Tuesday Morning doesn't have anything regarding sewing and is so junky and jumbled that I don't go in there. It's cool what you found at yours. So many of us have headaches and I think it's because we have so many creative ideas and not enough time to make it all :0)

Hum I've not been in Tues Morning in years - maybe I need to revisit. I know each area has different things in the store and you just never know what you will find.
I too think you are very productive/creative. Taking a day off to rest and re-coop is good for your body and soul. I get pulled out of the house sometimes for days on end and miss my creative time, but it seems to make it even better when I get back to it.

I'm a Bipolar sewist, too! Sometimes I go crazy and it's feast time, then life gets in the way and it's famine in the sewing room.

Got some hand projects for the famine times.

Sorry you are suffering from headaches, luckily, I have almost never had them. I have my aches and pains and sometimes they do indeed slow me down but for the most part...I can carry on.

You are so productive, that you need these break times...that's what your body is saying...have a great week playing with your new finds.

You found some wonderful fabrics at an amazing price. I need to go and pick up some more needles. I think I am down to my last one.

Sometimes headaches can the worse kind of pain. Not only does your head hurt but it's also hard to concentrate. I try to get as much done as possible on my good days and then relax as much as possible on the bad days. You do what you have to.

Great finds. I visit different TM's and it depends what part of town you go...some have great stuff and others have nothing. I like going there and searching...I don't know what a slice is, can you tell us?

I think we expect too much of ourselves and want everyone to read our blogs or whatever. I have slown down to enjoy what I'm doing and get it done as I can. I don't like to rush through something just to get to the next project and excite my readers. I need some satisfaction and enjoyment out of my project too. I think we get burnt out because we are overstimulating ourselves sometimes. (Just my two cents, for what it's worth) I like to start new things but love to finish what I've started too. I hope your headaches get better soon.

Great buys from Tues Morning. I see Fons and Porter stuff in there pretty regularly. Love the ME fabrics you got. Very cute.

Don't you just love Tuesday morning!

I think we all have our manic times and down times. Gee, I sure hope so, anyway. If not, then it is just you and me. And at least neither of us is alone!

I didn't know that Tuesday Mornings even had fabric. How have you been? I am still around. Just not sewing or doing much of anything. Had a downward spiral and can't seem to come out of it.
