I am trying to improve my hand/eye coordination....more control in my hands. So I went up and down the weave with the free motion foot....looks like I was drunk....but I hopefully, got better. I call that repeated pattern that is not quilted the weave.
So as I am quilting the fire alarm went off in the house. Scared the bejeebies out of me...I run through the house looking for fire, the only thing I can figure is I was running my machine so fast the alarm picked up on it....HA!!!!!

Haha about the fire alarm. Thankfully it wasn't a fire other than that fast quilting. Love the quilt. So colorful. Hugs
How funny!!!! Now that's quilting fast.
It looks great. Love the pattern, love the fabric and your quilting looks wonderful. Really like what you did in the outer border. Is it my eye or did you not quilt the center maroon diagonal?
Okay..I re-read you post and now I know about the center unquilted section. My bad.
It's a great quilt to practice FMQ on, but I'll bet your concentration was lost when that alarm went off. Holy cow!!!!
giggle!
Beautiful quilt! You must have been flying if you set the fire alarm off.
You is smokin' girl!
I love your quilt. Beautiful!
Smokin hot!
WOW! You were busy to set off the alarm!!! I like your quilt.
Good one! Love the quilt too. It sure isn't an easy skill to master. Practice, practice!
Great quilt! My alarm goes off if is too humid in the house.
Ha ha - fire alarm. Intriguing to say the least (and check the battery). Let's see, hot machine=hot sewing machine oil=hot oil in the air=fire alarm. You go girl!
PS - Love the quilt.
I know what you mean about the fire alarm, it about scares me to death every time they do a test at work and I know its coming. That quilt turned out very nice. I haven't even used my die yet. I think I am going to move my sewing room and don't want to start something just to have it in the way.
Have you checked the batteries in your alarm? Some brands go off to signal that the battery needs to be changed. That happened to me once in a previous house. It went off every night around 1 am for two or three nights before we figured it out!
Perhaps you should call this the Alarming quilt, or Ringing Bells? It looks great.
LOL.. your quilting is wonderful, love the quilt!
great looking little quilt!! I have found that my boys are really, really good with my HQ! I'm thinking it's all of those video games they play!!
Ha! Might want to slow down a bit :o) The quilting is pretty!
Very pretty, Barb! I knew you were hot, but now it is proven!
Too Funny!! You little dynamo :0)
Crispy
Too funny. You've got the pedal to the metal again, racing so fast you set the alarm off! Weee! Love your quilt.
Oh, that's funny...love the quilt. Your quilting is getting really good. Hot to Trot!!!
I love the drunkards path, I have that die too. I really like your quilt. I think I might have needed a couch moment after the fire alarm.
WOW! you are really working Terrific scrappy DP! And I just love your Beehive quilt too! And your Samoan fabric quilt-love that back!
I usually listen to music while I free motion quilt but you know-a drink would probably be good too! :)
I tried to leave a comment yesterday but blogger was being bad again. I love this quilt. I have not had any interest in the drundark's path pattern/die, but seeing it used here with this fabric and in this design has changed my mind. Thank you.
Love your work, I want to be able to do the neat things you do I just need that right direction that I lost some time ago but I know it will come back. thanks for all the neat posts, your one terriffic gal!! I finally ordered my hardware for the Key chains and Faith and I hope to work on them this weekend. Thanks again Barb. Hugs, Marie
