Toiletry Bag - Cosmetic Bag - Tomato - Tamato - Pecan....Pacan...it is all the same!

My son, James ,left yesterday (Friday) for college in Hawaii but before he left he asked if I had any of those bags like I made him for Christmas. I said you mean those cosmetic bags..... oooopssss.... let's rephrase that toiletry bag (he wouldn't use the bag if I called it a cosmetic bag).

I told him I could make him one real quick...he said in two hours....I said twenty minutes....

What????....

he said yes....(mom is in cloud nine)....

he wants me to make him something...he actually liked his Christmas present.... and my husband thought they wouldn't

So me being the mom I am, I jumped on that like a fly on a hot cow patty.....oh yesss... you heard me!

And so here it is.......He likes green. Couldn't find the pattern so my webbing is too long...but I ain't taking it out. (Ain't is a word, look it up)

Had some left over, made this little bag.... my swirls are not the best but I said twenty minutes so I had to hurry....HA!!! I could not have planned those geckos better if I tried.

Then I had so much fun meandering and doing swirls that I did this bag....nothing serious, just goofing..

Isn't it great when you find out how much someone loved a gift you gave them?

Did you do a tutorial on that bag? Or is it a pattern? I would like to try making one like that.

I hear you...there's no better feeling than when one of your BOYS asks you to make something for them! Nice job!

(Have you heard from your other son since he arrived in Iraq?)

Love it when the boys want something made. All your bags look great! I enjoy making little ditty bags. They are fun, quick, use up scraps, and let practice some new quilt designs. Plus, they are almost instant gratification.

Awww....see, even though boys don't always like to admit it, they do love to have things that their momma makes for them. Great job on the bags...I'm sure James was pleased as punch to get a few more to store his stuff in!

XOXO,

Cyndi

My heart is smiling bigtime. How sweet of James to ask you for a toiletry bag to take with him to college. And I love the green one you created for him too. Perfect. Did you know green is the school colors for UofH?
