Thanks for joining the Accuquilt Go Cutter Spring Hop.
The dies I used were
- 2 1/2 " die (sashing and binding)
- hexagon die (flower vase)
- circle die (flower vase)
- flower die (flower vase, stems, flowers and leaves)
- Rose of Sharon die (flowers)
Here is a video using your flower stem on your flower die to make the smaller vases on the left. (here). I thought it was my idea first but I was wrong and didn't know it.... 
so....when I did the applecore vase, I contacted several people to make sure no one else thought of it. If they have and you know about it, let me know, but as far as I know, this is my original idea. As you can see, it is just two applie cores, one on top of the other. I cut off the top and put it in the bottom arc. You can just cut off the top and cut across the arc and make it straight it you want Either way is just fine.
I did not notice until now that my vase is a little crooked. Pooey!!
While cutting these, I did not use steam a seam, I am so stingy that I didn't want to waste any on mistakes or just trying to design.....so....I had to glue the pieces on. I have seen some people do this and I must say that I don't like this way of applique, to me it is not a neat (as in presentation) and sometimes is hard to applique. That is just my opinion.
I also used straight stitching to quilt it.....
Forgive the imperfections. I think if I were to do this again, I would not try to mitre the corners in the middle square. That caused alot of problems.
I also use the glue method for the binding and I so love it but still need more practice at getting it perfect. Yes, still seeking perfection but not there yet.....

I like the use of the apple core dye. I think I will go and re-examine some of these dyes to see what else can be done! Thank you for letting me look through your site. I saw the crooked vase but thought it was cute in a quirky kind of way.
I do love the way you cut the hexagon vase in sections. Gives the vase some depth and interest.
I've used the glue method for appliqué many times. I've used it on small pieces and large when I haven't had any fusible and it has worked OK but definitely not my favorite way to applique. I just use a couple dots of glue in the center so that the glue doesn't get in my way when I sew. Just enough to keep the piece in place. The problem I run into is that the piece doesn't always stay in place properly. The glue lets it shift a bit. Glue is better than nothing when you want to get a project done though.
I'm thinking of trying that 1/4" fusible tape for my bindings.

Thanks for the instructions for the wall hanging. It's nice to see some uses of different dies from the Accuquilt. (Other than the original). Love the colors you used. SO springy!

Wonderful design!! I have a Go Cutter but have only used it for cutting scraps into squares to use someday.
I use glue a lot, for machine and hand applique. I prefer not to use fusible and the glue works very well for me.
I like your flowers coming out ove the edges of the blocks - very pretty!
Absolutely adorable, spring wall hanging. The colors are bright and cheery and very artsy looking. You can almost hear the birds singing while you are enjoy that iced tea.
