THIMBLEBERRIES SEW DAY !!!!

Sandy over at Crazy'bout quilts emailed me today to ask if I was still doing Thimbleberries Sew day. It is not that I dont want to, it is just I don't have my stuff....so I told her I would share these two books from storage.

I am so glad to have my books back and if the snow stops, I just my get my household goods...we have 3 inches right now.

Than Betsy over at quilting Fiesta(if you click on her blog name, it will take you to her table toppers)...anyways, she sent me one, it is listed below...so I decided to try my hand at it.... I made it reversible.

I took the lazy man's way out and just sewed and pulled through, instead of a binding. The guecko on the yellow is hiding the hole.

This was alot of fun...maybe I will tackle a binding for this soon???

I think they look great. I like to cheat every now and then too. Not every project needs a binding.

Very cool table-topper, Barb! I love the gecko. Isn't it funny, though, that sometimes, pulling something through like you did ends up being even harder than just putting on a binding? I've had it happen to me a time or two and I'll think, "Why didn't I just bind it!"

Happy quilting,

OOOH, You just cut the time in half by not having to put a binding on it. Great job!

That's a cute table topper. We're getting snow, too. This is the most wintery winter we've had in a while.

Love your insights for the Thimbleberries sew day. Fun to see your stuff from storage too.

And I love your table topper from Betsy. Lovely and beautifully quilted.

I love the gecko! He is definitely a direct "affront" to the snow!

Bummer on the snow!! I know you want your STUFF!! I've never "birthed" a quilt that way before, it would certainly solve the problem of binding those curves :0)

I think those are quite pretty. I'm sorry you probably won't get your household goods today but please let me know if I'm wrong and I'll bring a pizza to celebrate for lunch! lol
