I want you to take a look at all of the sewing space it provides. This is great for machine quilting but I am sooooo in love with the extra space it gives me for scissors, material pieces, hand room and elbows.......it is awesome,....like another sewing area.
I didn't want to take up to much of your blogging time that is why I provided you with the site if you want to know more, I am just going to show you a few features that I love at this moment. I am sure there will be more but for now.....
I love love love...did I say love....this feature...just by a touch of the pad this goes from this...
To this..... No more eating my fabric edges....no more fabric chewing frustrations...
Next is, it offers all these blanket stitches....talk about having a time trying to decide which ones to use....
I will show you one thing I do not like.... When I want to use my dual feed, I have to use these clod hoppers....see how big and clunky they are...
It wouldn't be so bad but......
Like when I wanted to sew over a bulk of fabric shown below....the fabric would get stuck under the clunkers and this is what would happen. What an eye sore...what a frustration. I would have to remember to pull up the foot and get a tool to stuff the fabric back and then sew, if I did not remember...I would get this. No fun but well....I am easy (not to easy) but I can deal with this...maybe there is a way around this?
My overall review....I totally love this machine....Mr. Pfaff has no need to worry, I love him too...the one that has to worry is my husband (wink! wink!)....

Wow, looks like a great machine.. I have a janome 4000 that I have had 15 years and have been looking at the horizon?? Not sure about those chuky feet but don't you get lessons with that machine? Keep on bloggin' bout it cause I want to hear all you have to say.. Value your opinion..

Mr. Big looks like he can do everything! I would really enjoy a machine with blanket stitch.
Everyone I know that has a Janome just loves it; I guess you are no exception. I'm having trouble interpreting the two close-up pictures of the feature you really love. What's the difference exactly? It looks like the throat plate changes from a wide needle-hole suitable for zigzag to a small hole for straight stitch; is that it? That would be nice! I have to dig out the screwdriver and pop out my whole throat plate to make that change.

Exciting!! Isn't it wonderful to get a new machine? I have a fairly new Sapphire and after my 20 year old Singer I just couldn't get over how well it worked!

New sewing machines are great, I just don't look forward to the learning curve that goes with it. I think there will always be a bad point or two. Good thing the good points make up for the couple bad things.
It was fun to read the review, Barb. I would love the single hole too. I hate to have to change my throat plate. The color is really pretty too.
The extra space would make quilting soooo much easier.
I have the Janome 6600 have had it for 4 years and I love it. The new 7700 looks amazing. However, I will keep my 6600 as the new one doesn't fit my budget.
Barb, what a great review of your sewing machine. Janome is a great machine for sure. I have the 11000 and nearly every day I find something new that it can do.
Your clunky foot problem is a downer but maybe something will figure out a better way.

Love all the degree directional lines on the throat plate...
I want this machine so badly I can taste it! I love my DP1600P and my little Brother but this would be the best of both worlds - and I would only have to have one machine set up at a time. I am jealous. There, I said it!
I haven't tried corners yet but I did some sewing with thicker fabrics and the 1/4 accufeed foot and it worked wonderful...the stitching would never have been even with my old machine cause I would have had to tug it thru.
You're so nice to be posting pictures of the machine a lot of us dreams about:-)
I can't wait the time I collect enough money...
