Looks like a lovely place to start the new year! As for the lemonade, lemons are supposed to be sour, silly girl, that's why we add sugar...sugar cookies sprinkled with green or red sugar or frosted with sweet frosting made with powdered sugar with a dab of food coloring in your favorite Christmas color...oh, oh and grab a couple of those sugar plum fairies while your at it! Merry Christmas, Barb
I hope that things work out that you can get into your house by the 17th, but if not, think how much fun you'll have next year getting it ready for Christmas! Welcome back to winter! (I live in West Virginia)
now lets find some sweetner here...you will appriciate it 13 times more, you have more time to plot and plan your rooms. You get to stay somewhere where you don't have to clean, unpack, organize, and sort for a little longer....helping? no? I understand! (we actually were 10 days "homeless" when my oldest was 18 months old between leases and had to stay with a co-worker)
That house looks like it will be wonderful to live in and I hope they sort it all out for your real soon. It can be very dissapointing for sure. Hugs to you Barb :)
Move in..but put up minimal stuff. Have a big New Year's Eve house warming party. Clean up (easier than if everything is in place) Then settle everything in.
Looks like a lovely house. Just add some sugar to those lemons and sing, "I'll be home for Christmas". Maybe Santa will hear you and let you move in earlier.
How Pretty! Love the trees, could you mail some of those to Texas for me? Sorry you are homeless at Chirstmas, just think of Mary and Joseph and realize it could be much worse.
my goodness it looks just like my daughters house in New Jersey. Next time I go there I will take a picture to show you. Now that moving is posponed till after Christmas you can relax and enjoy the holiday
I have one closing on the 17th too! It is really hard to get everything done on the properties and the loans, especially around the holidays. (turkey day puts us off schedule too) Enjoy not having to unpack over Christmas and next year this will just be a great story to tell.- cheryl
What a cute house...so sorry you can't get in until after Christmas....seems like they would make that work for you! Sheeeh! But I know you will have a wonderful holiday with your family!
I love your new home and look forward to seeing the homey touches you add. That is a shame when you thought you were going to be in for Christmas BUT what a great way to start the new year!!
Hey Barb! It's always a bummer when real estate stuff doesn't go the way or as quickly as we want, but once you get in there everything will be better. It's a really cute house and I'm sure you are going to work your magic on it and make it a warm and comfortable home!
No fun waiting I know....and all I care about seeing the house is the size of the sewing area. Do we need to come and rip down walls so you have enough room? You know we can do it....shouldn't take more than a few hours to remove all the walls you want gone :)

It's a cute house! Why is there a 2 week delay at the holidays?

Beautiful home! Hope you get settled in soon.
I'm so sorry that things aren't going according to plan. What an awful time to be left out in the cold.
Oh that stinks! It would have been nice for you to be in your own house for the holidays. :(
Is that a sewing room on the second floor above the front door? I hope they call and tell you the house is ready on the 17th.
It looks like a lovely house; I hope you will be happier there than you think you will be. And it's not permanent, right?
Susan (healing) in Texas

Oh its adorable!! Will you have your own quilting room?
Bummer!! Waiting is never fun, but waiting to move into a house and get settled is really the pits. Hope you have comfy temporary housing!
Waiting is not easy - I do hope you are comfortable now.

Patience girl. All good things come to those with patience. Love the house. Hope you will post pictures of the inside... :-))
Welcome home Barb! And remember...good things come to those who wait. Thank goodness that doesn't say anything about waiting patiently! LOL

So sorry you won't be able to spend Christmas in your new home. It really is a pretty home though.
Chin up--things will be ok.

Well, that is a bummer. But it looks like a cute place! Which window is your new sewing room?

Oh, Barbara. I am so sorry. We have space, if you need a place to be for a while (and there are sewing machines here, too).

What a darling house. I'm sorry for the delay but hopefully it will be worth it. Here's hoping you find some sugar for your lemonade.
What a lovely home to move into....eventually. Sheesh, you are much more tolerant than I would be!!

Your house looks lovely. Just remember you are in your right place and everything happens at the right time.
Your new home looks gorgeous, Barb...it'll happen!

Awww, that's a really nice house and I love the big trees around it. I bet it will be great in the spring too.
I'm buying a retirement house now and things might be going awry. I know how it is to hurry up and wait.
The house looks great! I love the trim colour. Get a great bottle of champagne for your first night in the new house!
Oh how I hate waiting for fun stuff! What a cute house girlfriend!
xx, shell
Your home is beautiful Barb!! Too bad about the delay!

Well, it looks like it's worth waiting for, but this month, it means being without a home for Christmas...I'm sorry, Barb!
Barb, your new home is beautiful. Thanks for visiting me. Hugs
