EMBARASSING STORY AND NO PICTURES

So........ I get to class...jump out of the truck. Go in the office to arrange supplies before class starts.....I have a young man helping me find things .... We are milling around.... Get what we need. I go to my truck for the items I brought.

Where are my keys???? (yes, I locked the doors knowing I would be back, if you want to know why, just ask but not saying online)

Does anyone know where my keys are?

Are they in the ignition (I truly never have done that)....

Not there.

Go back in the office....

look around.

The young man starts looking for them.

We turn the place upside down.

I got back outside

Look under the truck.

Look on the floor of the truck....thinking If I can't get the iron, ironing board, go cutter and scissors used for paper, I will be toast.

go back in the office....

Go back to the truck and just before I hit the panic button...I think...frisk my self.....back pockets, front pockets.....

OHHH yes yes....this little (big...what ever you want to call me, air head, brain dead, not playing with a full deck...) put the keys in her pocket and never thought to look there first.

Why????? BECAUSE I DON'T PUT KEYS IN MY POCKET...DON'T LIKE THE BULK.....OKAY

CALL IT PRIDE....

CALL IT STUPID...

WHAT EVER

SO WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TO LOOK IN THE POCKET??????duuuuhhhhhhaaaaa

I was so embarrassed, I had to go and tell this young man what I had done.

He is probably thinking "Stupid Palagie (white person). and deservedly so.

So...emergency panic avoided....

NOW WHERE ARE MY GLASSES????

can anyone find my glasses?

Before I turned off my computer for the night, I thought, "What has Sweet Barb been up to today." You make me laugh. Keys in your pocket, no way. I too, forget the obvious. The batiks are beautiful, ...and the jelly roll quilt is darling. Thanks, just what I needed for sweet dreams.

On your head?

One of my biggest fears in life is losing my keys! But I'm just the opposite...mine are always in my pocket. It's when they're not there that I panic! LOL Glad your story had a happy ending! :0)

You are not alone. One time I thought I had locked my keys in the truck, called hubby to come rescue me, he came and unlocked the doors, no keys, I had left them on the counter inside the store. Good thing hubby has a sense of humor and is used to his goofy wife.

Whew! Glad you found them! I have 3 sets of keys to my car. Last week I went to the dentist and the receptionist said "are these your keys?"They were-I had not missed them for a couple of months!

Did you check on top of your head for the glasses???

Ha ha. I keep keys in my pockets, but I know what you mean about "I never do that so I didn't look there"
Are we getting old?

First stop for glasses, I've learned a LONG time ago is to check on the top of your head or around your neck if you hang them. After that, you are on your own.

As for keys, this girl is guilty of that pocket mistake more than once. I try, try, try to always put them in the same pocket of my purse, etc but I fail at any sort of routine there so I'm always searching.

And, I doubt that boy was thinking anything other than what time he could break for lunch. Young men really do just want to eat at all hours anyway. LOL

I'm not too fussy on bulk either. Yesterday I looked everywhere for my scooter key. I was 'parked' outside of the quilt shop and couldn't remember what I had done with my key. Everyone was helping me look for it. I figured having to spend the night in a quilt shop wouldn't be too hard, but I don't think the owner was too impressed with me. She was looking the hardest. Then I found them! In my official key pocket of my purse! Call me a stupid palagie, but don't ask me to help you find your glasses!

I once found my glasses on top of my head. Of course, I once locked the keys in a running car. Happy quilting!

ROFLMAO!!!!
I'm glad I am not the only one that does these things.

If I had a dollar for every time I misplace my glasses I could retire. I often think about where I'm going, not where I am and that is when things go missing. Mostly when I'm in a hurry. It's life.

That story ended up a whole lot better than I thought it was going to. Great fabric choices from your hubby. You will have fun using those.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this. I think you just had too much going on. Glad it worked out. But, be sure to check your pocket for your glasses! Ok, admittedly I've lost my glasses for as much as 3 days to find them by the side of my bed. LOL!

Your glasses, just like mine on the top of my head!!!

It's funny now but I bet when it was happening you were having heart failure. I know I would. I can imagine why you would lock your doors even if only a few minutes. I do that in certain circumstances too.

I'm glad they were on the Outside with YOU, not on the inside...My last search was for my keys, 20 minute search later, I'm gonna carpool with Larry 'cuz they don't turn up. There they are in his car, fell out of my purse from the weekend. Okay, switch gears to go on my own, and...I have a flat tire. True story. Happened yesterday. hmmmmm

Been there, done that, used to have the tee-shirt, but I've forgotten where I put it.

Sucks to get old :) At least you found them before you had someone jimmy the door lock.

Yes, keys and glasses are historically lost, and what a funny story!
