Is the title of this article in "Quilt" magazine dated Spring of 1990. I just loved the title, had to share. Oh yes, this magazine was $3.90 at that time.
Then, can you guess the name of this block? If you can, there will be a fat quarter in store for you. I know, it is not much but my postal bill is going to be outrageous.

Let's try a Whirling Hexagon Block.
I have finally begun to like scrappy quilts... how about "Whirligig Hexagon" for the block name?
And I like your new look! ...Karen
Maybe a whirling hexie/hexagon?
Gad, what are you doing with a mag from '90?
Still trying to win a GO!
Hugs & ♥♥♥s.

It's a whirligig Hexagon block.
Kansas Twister, Texas Trellis, Whirling triangles in a hexagon, Hexagon Twister, Whirligig
I have no clue what that is called, but I have a quilt on my bed made with those blocks! (Was this block on the cover of the magazine? Then that's the pattern! Made around 1996.)
Oh I don't know... my guess is...
Grandmothers Dutch Windmill.
I think it's like a six point pinwheel. But whirlygig is much cuter.
The star of Barb!
Are you talking about the Odd Fellow quilt?
Help . . . . . . .
Guess Number 2 Okay what about Odd Fellows
I am also gonna guess a Jewel Block. Since you are Bejeweled Quilts.
Someone already guessed it Whirling Hexagon by Kansas City Star.
Crispy
Jane I love your answer the star of Barb great answer
How about Bejeweled Whirl?
I need to go with Whirling Hexagon!
In 5500 Quilt Block Designs by Maggie Malone, it's listed as Texas Trellis, Maple Leaf, Whirligig, Whirling Hexagons and Whirling Triangles. I also found it listed as Kansas Twister, when I searched for Texas Trellis on the web.
