I REALLY DO NEED AN ARMY OF ME'S....AND YOU WILL SEE WHY WHEN YOU READ THIS POST.

Over at Silver Thimble Talk, Pat was talking about these glue pens. So I went on ebay and order two hoping that they would help in doing a quilt binding like the one Sharon Schamber's does on her video. Great video, if you have the time, it is well worth the watch.

I am pretty sure I saw it on Jane's Fabrics and Quilts before I went to Texas. So when I saw the video...a lightblub went off when I saw the pens.

When I opened the package, I knew immediately why Pat chose these......any guesses?

Because it is pink!!

Here is where my disclaimer comes in....I believe (have forgotten, ordered before I left on vacation)...and I think I got them off a blog...so sorry...but here is where I need an army of me's...and maybe you will agree...but

How in the world am I going to do all I want to do before they lay this cold dead body six feet under? How?

Anyways...now you can see why I go through steam a seam like toilet paper....wish it was just as cheap.

I should be their spokes person.

Next was off ebay, I went to their red tag sale. Judy from sewmeow, was the seller...small world.

Then another red tag but this time Jerre from fabricartist sold this book to me.

Oh how I wish there was more of me to go around or more time in a day....

Can't remember....sorry....it was so long ago...yes, two months is a long time for this brain....one night is a long time...give a gal a break.

??????

Have I made any enemiees yet for forgetting where I purchased some of this stuff?

Betsy from Quilting Feista sent me this embroidered B...how fun is this? Thanks Betsy, still trying to think of something fun to do with it....smell the smoke???

So you see why I need an army of me's....

1. to do all the projects I want to do.
2. to help me remember things.
3. to help me remember things.
4. to help me remember things.
5. to clean house, do laundry, iron, go to the store.....ets....(as mentioned in earlier post.
6. to have someone to blame when my husband ask..."Did you eat the last of the ice cream?" "Did you eat the last bag of popcorn?" There are only two of us in this house, if he didn't eat it...then it leaves.....that other Barb...she can have the calories that go with it too.

did I say to help me remember things?

I did a long post because I didn't want to forget stuff but it turns out I already did...any longer and my husband could go back on ebay and resell my stuff and I wouldn't even know it....

Would love to hear how you like the glue pens. Don't clean, it really cuts into your sewing time. ;)

You have a lovely collection of projects in the making. Just enjoy them.

I think you probably bought some of that stuff from your husband's alter ego. That is why you can't remember where you ordered it from.

I know just how you feel! It's why women are so good at multi tasking, not remembering isn't in that category!
I too forget where I get this and that so often.
I like your new photo by the way! Your hair looks lovely with the flower in it!

hahaha...well Barb I know how you feel I need an army too. But I think you may have a problem. Did you order refills for the glue pens? I suggest you order a CASE! Let the other Barb order one too!

I am exhausted reading all the things you do and need to do. I am in a quilting slump. I need some of your energy.

At least we know if there ever came a day where mail went on strike or couldn't be delivered we would have enough to keep us busy for years.

I think that B that Betsy made you ould look great on a tote or pillow. It is beautiful!

We all do it, Barb, so you're in good company!

Looking forward to hearing how you like the Sewline glue pens. I have watched Sharon's videos several times in preparation for binding my charity quilt, but I need to get the glue and the little pointy thing before I get started.

I use those same glue pens...they work very well. There is a LQS that sells them here, so I think people stateside could find them at shops. LOVE that "empty nest" pattern!!! I'd say you do have your work cut out for you.....I also find it hard to keep up with blogs now that I follow so many!!!

You are too funny. When you find that army...would you be willing to share?

I love it! I will need to live forever in order to get all the fun things done I have on my list, and believe me, it is not the do laundry, go to store (unless it is fabric sote). There just is not enough time in the day to do everything, and I want to do everythying!

Very cute. I agree you need an Army of Me (you).

I really like the slimline glue pens too! Much better than regular glue sticks.

"How in the world am I going to do all I want to do before they..."

Well, Barb... when you find the answer to this one, let ME know. This blogging stuff (and my personal thanks to crazy'bout for getting me into all of this ;-D ) sometimes overwhelms me! But I am having a good time! And learning so much... meeting new friends, discovering new techniques.

...Karen

love that embroidered B, BTW!

I think we all could use some extra "me-s". I try to stay away from e-bay because I find way to many things to buy. It adds up real fast!

Oh this reminds me oh ME!!! and I thought it was just hard to remember things... A wonderful post Barb makes me feel better.. thanks..

I have lists all over the house, LOL! And I still forget things...hey, looks like you had a wonderful shopping trip!

Love the 'B'. I'd use it to make a journal cover where I kept lists of everything I wanted to remember (grin).

You get more done than anyone I know- but I can relate about all the projects and too little time, and sometimes even forgetting exactly what fabrics you already have in the stash.
I went to bind the current quilt and could not locate the fabrics from the quilt so I had to find some different fabric for the binding. I will probably find it when I clean up the area in the summer time.
I keep finding new patterns and fabric- now can I just find the time.
Happy quilting,
Anna
