ADAPTING!!

So my son is starting to curse quilting style...he comes downstairs and sees what you are about to see and says "What the Scrap!!"

Oh...yes, momma has learned to adapt and still make a mess where ever I go. What you see is a small stand that was at the end of his couch. I had asked if I could use it as a sewing stand......you see one shelf, the computer goes down there when I am sewing...but below that is another shelf with all my material (ha...ha... gotta love it).

Here is the actual sewing side....have my computer set up...it is great...

So in a few weeks I am sure my son is going to be begging my husband to take me back....funny (no...we are not seperated...I just have some medical issues to take care of...remember the chicken in the ER in Amerika Samoa...you guessed it....and personally " I WANT TO LIVE!!"...

that is why I am here....my husband says I can't come home until I am fixed (meow)......but not fixed in the way you would fix a cat...wouldnt' that be too personal to put on a blog...just had to set things straight...don't want any rumors going around about me.

No worries, nothing major, just a few teeth fixed (meow)...and a few glitches here and there.....will be resolved soon and I will be home in no time. I miss my friends.

I didn't tell you that my best of best friends is here in College Station, we have been friends since High School....it is great....we have the best time together.

Haha...I have a friend that I visit. The spare room is now officially my "sewing room" but sometimes I move the machine onto his dining table and sew where I can see the birds at the feeder.

Sometimes the spare bed is completely covered with my fabric stuff.
Yes quilters know how to take over a space and make a mess of it.

What the scrap! Haha - that's funny. Did you teach him that?

Yeah, I make a mess wherever I set up shop too. Can't be avoided. But I always clean up after myself.

Hope you're all "fixed" soon! (meow)

I went to a Western Samoa ER for an infected cut...ended up pouring salt into it and taking antibiotics that an American Dr gave me. Samoan Hospitals are always an adventure! Feel better soon!

A good quilter is an adaptive quilter! Love your 'mess', but it doesn't look in the least bit messy to me. Hope you get all your little glitches fixed. Meow!

LOL !!! My girls are used to me dragging my sewing mess from place to place. But my SILs are not. The most dreaded by all is the stray giant quilt pin lurking and waiting to be found>

Remind him that in the land of quilting, you are neat! If it was me...or some others...he'd really be freaking!
Remind him of all the messes that he left around when he was a kid
AND...what would be doing if you didn't have sewing....think of the trouble you could be in!

Glad you found a 'station' for your sewing life and I bet he will live with it...for awhile longer....MOM! Hope all goes well and you get your health back where it needs to be so you can concentrate on fabric!

Love that you're adapting, and from the looks of it, most effortlessly. Good luck with the body maintenance. Hope you get back to the island soon.

Kids can always find a reason to complain. Looks like have made yourself a nice little sewing area. Could be worse. You could have taken over more than a little corner!

I like how Susan put it..."body maintenance" lol. I guess it was a good thing you decided to tag along with Hubby. Does this mean he went back home? Now he has a big empty house all to himself. He should be missing you very soon lol.

First, I'm glad you are getting fixed and hope it's quick and easy. Woof-woof! (no cats for me.)

Second, I'm of the opinion that as a mother, you've had to live with his messes for many years, he can just learn to cope and live with yours for the short term. Quilt curse or not! hehe... tell him you wouldn't be a good mother if you didn't get to turn the tables on him now. ;)

Hope you will soon be back in shape and on the way home. It wouldn't be fun if we didn't have a mess. Mine is usually all over the house. Good luck with your "repairs"
