Remember my advent swap.....well....I got these.... Fabric turning tubes...
with the wood rods...
This is soooo awesome!!! No more getting a saftey pin and pushing it through for hours (at least it seems like hours)...no more I tell you.
See that wood rod....it is pushing the material through......la la la la....
Still pushing (boy this is hard.....NOT!!!!)
Oh, what is that I see at the end? Do my eyes deceive me? Why it is the right side of the material....
A little pull and a tug...
and a few seconds later....Wallllllaaaaaaa!!!
I am in love, totally in love!!! Where have you been all my life?
I HAVE A NOTION....do you sell these? If so....get ready because I would recommend these to anyone!!
Okay, so most of you have these....there may be someone out there that does not...right???? I didn't, I wouldn't, but I do.....and it is awesome!!!!
Got my green and white no sew swap in the mail this week....don't have time to work on them but got them.....yepeeeeee...Thanks Pat!!

cool!
Is it a one size fits all kinda thing or will you need different size tubes....? I've seen these and wondered if they work.
ummm yep, that thing looks awesome, whatever that "thing" is. lol
wait till you see all the different green blocks! What fun
I got those last year and they are so fantastic! Before that I was using a straw and a bamboo skewer. Now I have one to fit any size.
Thanks for the info Barb, I have bought two different tube turners and didn't get very good success with either. (However one of them, I have discovered, will pull the safety pin thru and makes that easier!)
I don't have one. And I didn't even know they existed. Have always used the safety pin method. I don't get out much!
Hmmmm, I have those, and I haven't figured them out yet. Maybe your pictures will help me.
I don't have them and I'm JEALOUS! Glad to see you're having fun with them!
Oh yes!!! I have them and cannot imagine going back to the "old" way of turning.
Wow, that is interesting, I just had to do some of that and used my knitting needle. Hummmm
So cool...I will have to see if we have it this neck of the woods. A really great invention!

Okay, that's pretty funny. I'm thinking my turner-outer-thinger came over on the Ark. So fun to see someone newly excited about something I take for granted.
So, your next quilt will have 3-d bows on it, right???? :-)
Way cool. I've used some tube turning tools in the past, but wasn't very hooked on them. I am now excited on this one given you like it. Yes, I do hope Kelly will carry these in IHAN!

I'm glad the green blocks arrived. This tube "thing" is new to me, too. I'm not quite sure I understand it, but you sure seem thrilled with it. I guess you are two-timing Mr. Pfaff now since you said you are now in love with THIS!!!

this is the link to the blue tubes on www.IHaveA-Notion.com they are listed under "Notions" Then "General Sewing" they are really cool.

That looks pretty good. I have one that looks like ice-tongs. Works great if an end sewn shut. But this looks better to me and won't take up much storage space and the thing I have is round.
I can't tell you how many times I have attached a pin, pulled it through...or had it catch or come lose! Wonderful new tool, thank you for sharing.
Very, very neat!
