FIRST UFO FINISH FOR THE YEAR!!!
Nice and crinkly.....may not be of blue ribbon quality but good enough for me. This is probably the 6th big top I ever made and first paper piece....just been sitting around to be quilted....so I am not too unhappy about it.
I really didn't start quilting alot until I went to Texas and even then it was in my spare time since I worked. I was able to crank out alot of smaller quilts. When I was in Missouri I made several big quilts and hand quilted them. I made alot and I do mean alot of baby quilts and throws....so moving to Texas about 6 years ago was the real beginning of my quilting journey....and what a fn journey it has been.....so welcome to my world!!

Wow ...you've sure lived in lots of places.
Very nice Barb. I like the quilt pattern. I can paper piece but I prefer to do faster piecing methods.
That's such a pretty pattern. I have several UFOs lurking around, so I know it must feel good to get it completed.
Well Barb, I only have about 4 years to go to really improve my skills then!
Your work is fabulous even if you don't consider it so.
You still crank the quilts out!
I think it is beautiful.
Very nice...and just how many years have you been quilting? With the wonderful quality of your work, I'd have thought it was YEARS...but now I'm thinking it's not been that long (based on what you said in this post).
Wow! That is awesome!!! You are getting some pretty things done up!
Come teach me paper piecing!!
Hugs,
Lola
A finish! Nothing better than that!!
Blue ribbon quality means you aren't allowed to even touch a quilt without white gloves. That's not my kind of quilt either. They are meant to be used and loved. This is lovely!
LOVE finished!! LOVE quilts!! As long as you can wrap yourself up in one, don't much care if the points match...
Congrats on a finish!! Feels good, doesn't it?
I have 4, maybe 5 waiting to be sandwiched. The gal who did a couple for me has gone and bought a b ed and breakfast in Sanford Fla. She spoiled me, beautiful work and very reasonable prices. So my friend keep on quilting, you'll get them done!!! as will I
I think it looks great and congratulations on the finish! That always feels good...
It turned out fabulous! What a beauty for your first 2010 finish.
