MOONSHINE!!

You might think these were moonshine bottles but NOPE!!! They are the old Clorex and Purex bottles..... Now....if it was me and I had these bottles and knowing what clorex does to your clothes.....well.....I would be afearing......afearing that the bottle would break and ruin whatever was in it's path!!!!

These were not suppose to come here but were suppose to be in storage...oh well..

I hadn't thought about those in years, and while I don't remember the amber bottles, I do remember how the lid would get rusted before the bottle was empty and the last few opening would be difficult.

my daddy used to have some of these and they "were" moonshine bottles. and oh how good that stuff was, I mean, I heard how good it was

Perhaps moonshine and Clor*ox would have the same effect!!!!!

I think I"m pretty old, but I really don't remember clorox in glass bottles. But it must be a thing about my immediate family vs grandparents and other families. I do remember when my grandmom would visit my family was always amazed how white everything was.

did you really bring these bottles to AS or did you find them there? Either way I'm amazed! I don't think you can carry them on an airlines in the future...heee, hee, hee!

My great uncle Billy used to send my uncles across the field with jugs like that and it certainly was not Clorox! He got caught and spent some time in Atlanta. When he got back he picked up where he left off.

I like your old glass bottles. I hope they make it back someday without breakage. I don't recall seeing bottles like these before.

Barb, those are really great. I've never seen or heard of Clorex in glass bottles. How interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I have a few bottles similar to those though they are not clorox bottles. The prettier one sits on the window sill in the my bedroom to catch the afternoon light and the other I put a string of christmas lights in and put it up on top of my hutch. I just love lights. They are such interesting jugs, I'd display them if I could.
