ADDING SPICE TO A WHITE KITCHEN TOWEL

So my niece and I have our heads together, she designed the muffin, I brought my own ideas to it and this is what I came up with. I did my own lettering but you can find lettering anywhere but if you are interested in mine, I would be happy to scan them over to you (ooops...better make sure my scanner is working...oh....better yet, make sure my husband has scanner working...been out of commission for a while).

So..............here is the deal...comment on my blog and you will win this towel as part of our giveaway. Then go over to my niece's blog and check out what has been added to it, along with my niece's applique design, free for the chosing.

Blog about this and you get 3 extra points...order from her store, Inch worm fabrics and you get 10 along with 10 entries for the quilt below.

My niece has a background in the food industry, she told me once what her major was but I can't remember for the life of me but that being said.....

As a special bonus...here is a Blueberry Muffin receipe

Go to the store and get a poppy seed muffin mix....don't use the poppy seeds and add your own fresh or frozen blueberries.....Easy enough?

If that is not easy enough, just go buy you a blueberry muffin mix.

And you are saying to yourself....is she serious????

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup cooking oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Grease muffin tin, or use muffin cups.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Make a well in center and put to the side.

In another bowl combine egg, milk, and oil. Add to flour mixture.
Stir until moistened...you do not want to over stir, so you will have lumps.

Fold in 3/4 cups of Blueberries....I put more....because more is better!!

Spoon batter into muffin cups. Fill about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

ummm ummmmm good.

Your towel is really cute and the blueberry muffin recipe made me hungry. I don't have any blueberries in the cupboard but I do have a fresh bag of Craisins so maybe I could make cranberry muffins! Nice blog, great giveaways! I came here via InchWorm and I got to InchWorm via Crispy Quilts. :-)

Cute towel! I bought some blueberies on the weekend so that I could make some blueberry muffins. I have no idea why I did that because I seldom bake anything and never buy blueberries out of season. But they were calling me! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face when I saw your 'go to the store and buy...' instructions. Too funny!

That is the same recipe that I use and have been using for years. It is so good. I also add a little brown sugar, cinnamon topping to each one. I should make some soon.

I'm a big fan of cute dishtowels. I love to have them in my kitchen, love to give them as gifts, and I love to include them in gift baskets for silent auction/raffle fundraisers.

This one is so cute, it is inspirational...as lovely as InchWorm online products are. I too want to encourage everyone to go to InchWorm to check it out. Great products you'll want for yourself, and also for gifts.
