This is my Sunday tote, I made this one over a year ago, even thought the button closure was my idea and then I see it all over the blogs now...oh well...we must all think alike (that can be a good thing). Several ladies at church have totes similar since they are part of my Thursday sewing group. Not a very good picture but this post is not about this tote...
This is the inside material of my tote...don't you just love it?
Now to what this post is all about......this.......what is it, you it say? Something to match my tote for Sunday....something to carry my scriptures in to protect them.
This is the inside...not finished yet, neither is the outside....have to work out a few details and sew the lining down. I will never do this again...one of those projects you rip out til you are SICK AND TIRED OF RIPPING OUT!!!!
This is my old scripture case(actually, this is a lunch box and I just used it for a scripture case).....
Next I am going to make a cosmetic bag to match but I won't show that, you all are sick of my cosmetic bags....and probably my totes...but this blog is about what I am up to...sometimes no good....
Now, won't I just be the cat's meow at church? Purrrr purrr
I really like your fabric and the scripture tote. Did you have a pattern for the scripture tote or are you one of those clever people who can figure things out without a pattern?!
In spite of how that Scripture case is frustrating you during its construction, it is going to look SUPER when it's completed!
If I had a quarter for every zipper you've put in............... LOL. Some more great bags and totes!
Barb, a bible holder is an excellent idea and will probably sell well in your store.
Very cute tote. And the scripture case will be a nice compliment. I hate to rip out, but I'd rather rip then regret that I left it in :-)
You will be the talk of the church with your little scripture tote!!! I made my totes with a similar loop - and am now seeing them everywhere - oh, well!!!!!!Guess there are just so many ways to close a tote!!!
I really like your fabrics. I totally get it about ripping and ripping.....until you just want to throw it away and do something else. My stubborness won't let me do that....I WILL DO THIS ..or else.
I love the case to match the tote. One day I am going to have to tackle the "zipper monster" and try to put in a zipper myself.
or maybe not.....
I never get tired of your totes or cosmetic bags. I LOVE the inside fabric, I would just open the tote to look at it :0)
LOL I've been looping my bags closed for years too! :-) Your tote and accessories are going to be great~ all the 'church ladies' will be after you to make them one! :-)) I'm working on a circular case with a zipper in it, isn't that funny?
