DISAPPEARING NINE PATCH

Remember this disappering nine patch? Well......I finally decided on how to finish it. Now it just needs to be quilted....lacking motivation.

I really am feeling better than I have in weeks but now I am lacking motivation. What is up with that?

Got the fabric from Jane, she does carry alot of wonderful fabric.

My friend wants me to be in charge of donations for her non-profit organization that will take over after the red cross leaves. She was so shocked at all the generosity from my quilting friends and feels since I am already distributing the items to just take the position. I just don't know? Will have to think about it, I have the cub scouts and then in the womans organization at church...we will just have to see.

Just wanted some of you to know, there were four quilts donated by Linda D. I have given three away. This family that has two kids and expecting a third lost everything. The husband was home when the tsunami hit, he just grabbed his babies and ran. He felt bad because there were others that needed help and he was not able to.

Then a little gal lost her mom and her sister was taken alot of school supplies (she just loves school supplies and the cuter the better. Then she is coming over tomorrow to pick through the rest of the stuff to see what she would like.

The beanie babies that Patty sent are going to....it is so amazing how these items are bringing joy ino peoples lives....thanks sooo much.

Babies! Babies! Babies everywhere!!

I know that atleast 5 women at our church are having babies. So part of the service project last week was to make a few baby quilts.

Very few women showed up, I had intended for this one to be tied but.....not enough hands so I just stippled it .... turned out cute if I say so myself.

Here is another picture but with part of the back side showing.

This next one was one I threw together and a few of the ladies worked on it, I finished tying it and did the binding....so two down...three more to go.

Inch worm fabrics has added some Moda to her shop....soon...very very sooon...we are going to have a grand opening.....hope you will be around to join us.

GENEROUS HEART

GENEROUS HEART

If any of you want to see a very heart warming story about a little girl who goes shopping for toys for the tsunami victims....go to Yarn sniper, or just click on the generous heart above...that will take you directly.

Leta is my advent swap partner, I knew her...I knew her but I could not place her, I felt so bad. She does not have a way to become a follower so I have to go to my favorites to get her site. What a truly heartwarming story.

I am working with a friend that is spear heading a new orginaztion here on the island that is formed to help after the Red Cross leaves. There is still alot to be done and alot of people who will need help. I believe these items will go to her after we complete what we need for those we know that need help.

The service project that I was in charge of, only 14 people showed up but we got alot done. We made 19 lava lavas, 14 pillows, made 24 hygiene kits and were working on baby quilts for the ladies that are having babies at church. Not too bad in a few hours of work???? Thanks to all of you who made those hygiene kits possible...now I will go and make more with what was went today. Thanks sooo much.

If I got your name wrong, or didn't put a blog name on there, I am sorry, if you will let me know my error...I will be happy to correct it and apologize.
