Berries, Roses, and scrappyness

Here are my berry picking pals....

Every morning but Sunday and days I have to take my mother to the Dr....I go out and pick berries.
I get about a one gallon freezer bag full....

but first I take out some for my breakfast.  Yep...berries, yogurt, and lite whip cream...UMMMM UMMMMM good.

Here are some wild roses, they have found a wonderful home on this fence which they continue to wrap around even further.  So gorgeous.

Keep in mind that this is just thrown down.  But the center of these squares are the scraps from a previous quilt.  I used a Samoan Jelly roll to frame the scrappiness.

All it needs is one last border...that will come tonight.  I think I am going out berry picking this evening since I will be gone in the morning.

INTERNATIONAL QUILT MARKET SPRING/SUMMER

A few months ago I showed you these awesome fabrics from Island Batik.  I had to wait to show any projects I did with the fabrics until today.

Those strip bundles just kept calling my name...
you know..
while you are sleeping.
While you are eating....
 While you are trying to other projects....

Aren't they gorgeous?  I did a simple rail fence with the large turtles as accents.  The turtle fabrics are from the Melon grouping of the Spring/Summer line.

You make a small table topper, that is what you do

This topper is about 16 inches in diameter with a ruffle which makes it about 18 inches in diameter.  I made this topper to cover a blemish on a small round end table.  I hope the person I made it for likes it.

Lots of family issues here in Texas which takes me away from my machine along with things I can not show right now but soon, very very soon I can show pictures.
