HOLY MOLLIE.....WE HAVE A FINISH!!

Some of you may remember this quilt. I made it in Texas on Daddy pfaff, called Orange Slice. Got the beautiful orange fabric (except for backing) from Quilt Taffy. I also get all my schnibble needs from her as well.

Now I love love love this quilt...the Samoan fabric for the back is mouth watering. I know, alot of you don't like orange....but oh.....I do. Those chewy orange slices that you eat, they stick to your teeth....or the orange Fanta, or tang? You name it...I am there....candy stuck to my teeth and all.

So...truth be told. I did a horrible job pieceing it. I didn't have a 1/4 foot and well...I have become very spoiled. I told you all that I am a kept woman and extremely spoiled. Yes, I had a hard time without this foot to guide me along....so alot of the squares were eased in. Therefore, I did the swirls to make up for the really sorry workmanship. I think it worked.....well...maybe.

Then I finished this table runner...whohooooo look who is on a roll now. With the M & M's Darlene sent me, I will be rolling out the door if I don't stop eating them. I have to exercise double time (is it worth it.......oh yea!!).

Just got home from teaching those classes...and well....need to get energized before tackling another job...maybe I will just sit back and relax??? Been without internet, need to catch up on blogging....so sorry if I haven't been by....later....oh...was that an M & M that fell....gotta go find it, 5 second rule....

Oh....if you are interested in the Book Round Robin, see post below this one.

Barb, your orange slice quilt is delightful. I love the flag runner. IS that a scalloped border on it? You do such beautiful projects.

Oh, I love them both! I've been meaning to do a quilt with that design for a while but now you have me anxious to get to it.

As for the table runner, it's great and I may be copying it for those runners I have to do for my mom. Okay?

Have a great afternoon. Beck

I've never been a fan or orange, but I remember seeing this quilt top and changing my mind about that. It's gorgeous. And I love your table runner!

The Samoan backing on the orange quilt is the finishing touch, perfect for it!

I love Orange Slice! You're really quick at finishing things when you put your mind to it. Hope you found that M&M.

Love the orange slice quilt. Did you use a pattern? It's beautiful. I'd like to make that with my civil war repro fabrics. Just too pretty. Also not to worry M&M do not make you fat - I've heard this from a reliable source.

Barb, Your orange slice quilt is gorgeous. Shhh.. Don't be telling anyone about any mistakes. It looks perfect to me and I love it. That backing fabric is so pretty, I love the Samoan and Hawaiian fabrics, they are always so bright and cheerful. Your star table runner is super cute, the binding looks like it's folded over the front with scallops. That's really a nice touch. Congrats on the finishes.

Very nice finish. Both look great.

I remember the Orange Slice! I wanted to get a kit but I waited to long and she sold out. Yours is so awesome with that backing. You could not have picked a better fabric if you tried. Awesome finish!

I have always loved the "flavor" of orange but was never a big fan of the color until the past year or so. I find that I am drawn to it and have been using a lot more of it lately. And I absolutely LOVE your Orange Slice quilt...I think it looks fantastic!

I like to eat M&Ms when I sew, too. Good thing my hubby doesn't mind me a little chunky! LOL!!!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Wow, I'm not too big on orange but this quilt is wonderful. I do like pumpkins and Halloween and the orange color is growing on me but I love this one. You can't tell you had wonky seams from here! Keep on pumping them out girl. Good job.
