YES? NO? MAYBE?

The day before yesterday I worked on these.....

Sewer's Aid was suggested to me for my thread breakage.  I was thrilled to get this product and try it out.  It worked on everything but the large Sulky Threads.....don't know what is up with that but I am pleased anyways.

Today I decided to do some more embroidery but this time work on some trains.  As I was picking out my threads, I thought...if I remember correctly when I did up one of these trains a while back, the black thread that details everything was not in sync with the overall project.  Hummmm...well...I thought, maybe it was just that one train???  So on I went.

While the machine was running and my thread a humming (no breakage) I pulled out my red box, see it to the side of this picture.

It has all of my sketches for my patterns, and future patterns, and flops.  I decided to go through it while my machine was at work.

Notice the trash can, it is full.....some projects I had planned to do did't quite make it, some I couldn't figure out what I had planned, just a bunch of scribbles....

Needless to say, it was a Hummmmm should I keep it?  Should I throw it away?  Or is it a maybe?

My box is lighter but not that organized but more so than it was.

This is what I finished.  See the outline over the front of the train...it is too far out...I was so disappointed....  So, should I continue and make more trains knowing that the outline doesn't not match or should I scratch it and go on to something else?  Yes?  No?  Maybe?

SOME HAVE ASKED AND SO TODAY I AM GOING TO DELIVER - PICTURES OF MY NEW SEWING ROOM

This will be under a controlled environment, you will only be able to see what I am allowing.  So all of you march forward.

Here is one of my favorite spots.  I love the pictures of my sons.  Still working on the treadle machine.

Bookshelf by the door.  Don't mind the pink slippers, they were not invited in this picture.  I have whittled through alot of my books and magazine and so glad that I did.

This is between the two big windows, This bed is my mother's.  The first thing I obtained was her bed so she can have a place to sleep while visiting .  My son is on it right now.  I had it soo cute.....(news flash, boys do not like cute....it is all he can do to sleep on that pink pillow case...ha!!)  The ironing board was not invited in this picture either.
I worked on these yesterday.   I do not know if I like this gals digitizing...the faces seem messed up to me.

Here is my brain, you will find in here past ideas, ideas that came to fruition, and some are just laying dormat waiting for me to come and rescue them.  See, there is not much to my brain....just some scraps and scribblings.
 Projects I am working on
cutting mat....husband said the quilt was straight....hummmmm  was he looking at it sideways?

Here is my sewing necleus....where everything happens at Bejeweled!

The green desk and the desk the embroidery machine were found in the out building.  I just cleaned them up and here they are.  The desk my sewing machine is on my son let me use (he was so gracious and brought all of his furniture for us to store while he is gone for 10 months).  We are such lucky parents!!!    It is so nice sewing on solid surfaces instead of those portable tables.

There you have it, still a work in progress....needs more organizing but hey...at least I am in and sewing.

Oh Happy Days.....Oh Happy Daaaays....

MY NEW TOY!!!!!

IMG_2232
Pfaff Creative Sensation 5.5…..and I love love love it.

Yes, the table  is a mess, it seems that every time we bring a load in from San Antonio that my tables and any surface areas get loaded up and then it takes me a while to clean it off….poor me (smiling).
It will be this way for a while anyways until I get my sewing room and even after, right now I can use the move as an excuse.  I will have to think of another when I actually get some space to sew in…

My husband and son laugh at me because the first thing I did when I got here was set up a sewing space and then this little beauty joined me.

Don’t you think the leaf would make a great quilt with the leaf squares and some green Samoan fabric for sashing????

I had a few learning curves and there are still some curves ahead but I have my sister down the road Beverly from Quilters Corner and Marjorie at Marjorie’s Quilting Bee and a few other blogging friends  like Gene from Gene Black and Alabama Artist that offer help when I need it.

I know that some of you may be weary of ebay but this is where I get all of my machines.
I have gotten some awesome deals and this is one of them.  It only had 60 hours when she sold it to me.  She said it was too much of a machine for her.

One little tip my sister, Jeanette from Inchworm Fabrics  gave me (she is the one that got me hooked on ebay and showed me what to look for)… she said…usually when someone ask a lot for shipping hardly anyone bids and she was soooooooooooooooo right.  No one bid on this, the shipping was high but I knew how much I wanted to spend and I was not going one penny over and that included shipping.  I couldn’t understand why the same machine would have over 30 bids and this one had none until I remembered what she had told me.   I say....LUCKY ME!!!

It is 33 degrees outside and I am so much like a reptile, when it gets cold, I move sooooooooo slow.  Actually, I just want to find a place to curl up in until it warms up.

SUNBONNET SUE AND DRUNKARD'S PATH....JUST DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER!

Yesterday afternoon while doing these.....

I hooked my embroidery machine up and had her squealing all afternoon with these!!
Photobucket
Marjorie does such a fantastic job digitizing the Accuquilt Go dies, here store is here. As you can see I did use the Sunbonnet Sue Accuquilt die and the drunkard's path die, which made this process so much easier and faster. I need borders for three of the quilts but that is a good start for tomorrow's day.

Remember tomorrow I will be over at Sew We Quilt along with a giveaway here on my blog.

My mother is visiting and she is doing this.....

All I can say is THANKYOU!!! BEVERLY!!!!! and if that sounds like a nice thankyou, it is not!!! You have spoiled our mother bad bad bad. She keeps saying "if Beverly were here, she would fix this for me," If Beverly were here......do you know how any times she has said that???????? Okay, so I am not you Beverly..... I keep telling her that I don't want to spoil her fun. (this all being said in fun)

Now that being said, I have ripped out and ironed for her but I am not taking over the project!! No more spoiling Beverly!!! Do you hear me????

While she is working on that with Mr. Pfaff....I made this with Mr. Big Guy....

and this....which is now hanging in my bathroom!

I have made headway with my powersuit challenge...I am excited about that....and started another embroidery project....someone should get strung up by their fingernails for getting me hoooked on this but the problem is I can string up the lot of ya!
