SAMPLER BLOCKS

Those who had read my blog in the past know that I love Applique.

Most of my Accuquilt Go dies are applique.

I do have some piecing dies but I recently acquired the 8" Go Qube.

If you are interested in what a Go Qube is, check out the Accuquilt site.

I will give more info on that later.

So.....I have been playing with the QUBE and Island Batik Scraps.

Dutchman's Puzzle

I just love using my Island Batik scraps because I get to see fabric that I have used in the past and as always just love them.

This Accuquilt 8" qubeh as made it so easy to cut out these squares.

I use to hate the half square triangles, no more.

I love the variety of blocks you can get from just one Qube box.

It takes no time at all to cut out...now if you make mistakes on a regular basis, (not saying), the blocks go together quickly with wonderful directions.

Who doesn't love these fabrics?

I love Basket Quilts and this one goes together so quickly.

That being said, this month the Island Blog hop is going on, below is the schedule for it.  Lots of giveaways, ideas, and creativity.

  1. Beautiful blocks. I really like the idea and design power of the cubes. I've been wanting the 6" and 8" cubes, but I wasn't good enough for Santa to bring me one. Maybe next year.

  4. I can't wait to get to play with the batiks! Your blocks look so good. But most folks that know me, know that I love batiks and hand dyed fabrics best. And now I have been chosen as an Ambassador also. Hooray. Thanks for encouraging me to join you on this wonderful journey.

  5. I have a sizix and soon an accuquilt (I think 😉). I love love love the way HST work when you use them - it is so easy isn’t it. Your blocks look great and I think we will all have a lot of fun seeing what we can create.

  6. Your blocks are perfect, results one can achieve with determination and the right tools. I’ve seen the Accuquilt Go in action at guild but haven’t been fortunate enough to discover its amazing results at home. I always love your fabrics, and the contrast in the first photo is especially appealing with its golds and purples. Enjoy hopping!
