Sorry if I have not responded to your comments or even visited your blogs. It has been very busy over here with family matters. When I do have the time, I am either tired or trying to play catch up.
Here is a piece of fabric...notice anything wrong with it?
Look real close on both ends.
Notice that someone had cut a little hunk off both ends....... I try so hard not to do this and just use one end for my applique pieces but looks like I wasn't paying attention.

Next, I made this little bunny in Amerika Samoa and found her today. So....I pulled it out (had other things to do of more importance) and made the cups and lettering to go around her.
This is so me in the mornings. I don't drink coffee but I sure drag my feet.
Next is a little sneak peak at Island Batik's up coming fabrics..... My husband just laughed when he saw me smelling the bundles..... I think I am due another sniff.....
I really think a person can get high sniffing fabrics.
It sure makes me happy.
I hope everything's OK Barb?
ReplyDeleteYour bunny is priceless...a good giggle for me as I make my morning coffee!
ReplyDeleteuhhh you got your box??? jealous!!
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny....I don't do mornings without some coffee.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little bunny and I drink coffee in the morning....just like the bunny :) I can't wait to get my box of beautiful fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteOh my look at that material. Love it and that cute quilt.
ReplyDeleteCute bunny! I've done that before, too, as careful as I try to be. I am so excited to have won the bundle of Island Batiks from you last month. I can't wait to work with them. I have only used batiks a few times but so enjoy them. I made my daughter a seasonal Wallhanging using an assortment and it's hanging so pretty and proudly on her dining room wall. I keep looking at it and thinking, "wow, I made that!"
ReplyDeleteThat is such a true statement. Me either
ReplyDeleteLol, how did you know about my mornings! ;) Life gets in the way sometimes...be well.
ReplyDeleteI find myself chopping off both ends once in awhile too. LOVE the bunny. That is how I feel in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about getting high from sniffing fabric...but its a proven fact in my world that " petting the fabric" can result in loss of tension and flights of fancy!
ReplyDeletewhat a great little bunny! I do drink coffee albeit decaf...I understand the being too busy with home and life moments. I am at the same stage right now. Make sure to take some you time to stay healthy! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI've done that. Maybe all who applique do! Love your bunny and know just how he feels. Coffeeeeee!!
ReplyDeleteI've sometime cut into different ends of fabric, for applique'. Makes it difficult when I pull out such fabric later and find I'm short yardage. Oh well, another reason why having a good stash is such an asset.
ReplyDeleteCheerful quilt. Beautiful new fabrics. Glad you received such a cheerful bundle.
