Here is how far along I have come on my folding.....My sister has even come over and folded some more.
Both ends are the same but you can change up the little cubbie shelves.
Here is what I did last night. Plum jelly and Dewberry jelly. I also am trying to make fruit leather in the over. I was so tired last night that I just turned it off and went to bed....we will see if I can get it to work today. Maybe I made the leather too thick? We will see.
You have a lot more bigger pieces of fabric than I do. I am mostly a fat quarter kind of gal. Maybe 1/2 yard.
ReplyDeleteThe folding is looking good Barb and your jelly...y...I can almost taste it from here. I've been canning watermelon jelly lately. And you are so right, all that activity is tiring!!
ReplyDeleteBarb you have the quilters dream sewing room. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think you're doing great! I remember when I went through a folding exercise of my stash - it took forever, but I have loved it and kept it up since then. It makes all the fabrics look so nice and inviting :)
ReplyDeleteGetting organized really makes you feel good, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteLove the new desk/cutting table! Looks great and has nice storage. Your fabric looks so pretty all folded up nicely like that. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou're just a busy little bee over at your place! I've never made fruit leather. You'll have to teach me how to do it in an oven. It's so nice once the fabric is out of totes and on shelves because it makes it so much easier to remember what you have and use it up! I've been using mine up like crazy since I got it out of those totes (had to wait to get a sewing room for that to happen)! Hope all is well. Our 6-year-old granddaughter will be staying with us without her family for the next 4-6 weeks. The doctor won't release her after her surgery on her finger until the pins are removed and her parents insurance won't pay the bills unless the original surgeon does all the followups until the pins are out. Lucky me! Seriously, lucky me!! I don't know how much sewing I'll get done. Maybe it will give me time to post all I have done since I quit blogging, lol! Talk to you soon!

Don't feel bad. When I started folding and organizing my fabric it took me almost 1 month to fold it I still have some miscellaneous pieces to fold but it is almost complete. I do need to organize my fat quarters by color next.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on your folding and sorting , I love your new desk , just awesome .
ReplyDeleteThe studio looks great to me. I love the bright colors in your fabric bins.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had fresh fruit to make jelly. The fig tree doesn't seem to be doing well this year. I am hoping for at least one or two batches though.
The folding looks great! Love you new desk. That jelly looks delicious. Our strawberries should be ready in the next week or so. Hopefully I can make some jam. Can't wait for that first taste of summer's bounty.
ReplyDeleteI need someone to fold mine. Love the desk, I am green. The jam looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pic, I wish I had your space. I can't put anything right in the middle of my sewing room. LOL nice to see the bed there too, when tired, it's perfect! Fruit leather? Eager to see that. Magnificent folding! Is your sister for hire? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the organized colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing your table Barb, it looks perfect in your room, wish I had that much room! Love seeing your fabrics in the bins, I know I love looking at my fabrics and keep as many as I can out on the shelves.
ReplyDeleteIf you can find it....then it works!!! I try to stick with that motto :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kelly
