I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

I don't know about your sewing room or how you feel about things but.............. I have so many projects just laying around the sewing room waiting to be finished.  It drives me crazy....so I decided to get busy and get some things done.

Here is one of my finishes.  I have found since I use glue to help me with the bindings that my borders way but as soon as it washes it goes flat.  I think I use too much and the wave is the stiff part and can't help but wavy.  Great project for practicing my FMQ.  AND it is DONE!!!!  One pile gone.  This is a panel and you can find it and the coordinating fabrics at Inchworm Fabrics.

Then I had a friend showed me a picture of a quilt that she wanted to make for her baby and asked if I thought she could do it???

Then she said she had plans for her sons but never got around to it.  I told her if she wanted she could send me the fabrics and I could make the quilt for her as a gift.  She jumped on that like flies on a cow pie...HA!!!

I got the fabrics yesterday and loved them so much I just couldn't help myself.
I just love love the colors and trust me it is a lot prettier up close and personal...

No berry picking today.....It is getting things done today day....I must.  I will have to go to an institution if I don't clear some of these piles out of the way.

Have a fabulous Memorial Day Week-end.  Thanks to all of you who have had husbands, brothers, sisters, mothers, or even yourself for serving to keep our Country Free.

  3. I'm right there with ya. I started to work on a new project this evening and stopped myself. I've got too many already started projects to enjoy starting something new. I hope to finish one or two this weekend then maybe I can enjoy starting something new.

  4. Congratulations on the finishes! I can barely walk in my room. Way too many UFOs to count. I think I'll just pass them on to the next generation.....:)

  9. I try not to have too many projects pilled up, but lately I have allowed too many quilt tops sit unfinished. I do need to get them quilted and out of my to-do pile. =) One of these days...

  12. School is out in a week and my sewing room is at the tops of the list for my summer cleaning project. It is so bad...piles everywhere and I am not a pile person. But, starting (and finishing) a new project is inspiring. And will make the cleaning go better.

  13. I am going to my first overnight retreat later this week (for 3 nights and 4 days!) with the sole goal of getting some stuff DONE! As a longarm quilter, I am always working on other people's quilts when I am at home. It is so hard to work on my projects when there are money-making quilts waiting to be done! This retreat is just the thing:) Check out my blog: renaissanceSandi.blogspot.com next week to see what I accomplished!
