This is a pretty good size room and my poor husband sanded the whole thing.
I sanded one day but the last mudding he sanded it all. Then he painted the ceiling while I worked on painting around the windows, doors, and in the corners to make it easier to roll.
Now the electrician is here. There are two lights like this one you see (don't know if I like it, husband picked it out and well...you know what they say about beggars). The other light is going on the other end of the room with a ceiling fan in the middle. You can see where one of my sewing boxes made it out to the middle of the room....so anxious to be up and out.
I got to play yesterday. I finished up all of the Beattitudes squares and then I did a little machine embroidery.
That is going to be a wonderful sewing room. I can see why you are anxious.
ReplyDeleteBarb, your room is coming along great! Love the flooring. The towel is so pretty. Glad you go to play some.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have an amazing sewing room once it's all finished! Love the little towel! :0)
ReplyDeleteYou're making progress!! I need to get an electrician in to fix some outlets that have become so loose with the kids unplugging and plugging in things a million times and hitting the plugs with furniture or whatever. Hopefully this year the tax refund will be big enough! I worry about my machine not being plugged in entirely secure (right now using a surge protector on it). I wish my monitor was better so I could see the room better but it looks great so far!
ReplyDeleteYour room is coming along. Looks pretty close to move in ready. Beautiful machine embroidery.

Maybe I could just sew in one corner of that room. You wouldn't even notice me I promise......giggle......it's huge. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour room is going to be so beautiful Barb. Can't wait to see it come together.
ReplyDeleteLooking good.
ReplyDeleteYour sewing room looks good Barb! Lots of space. I think you're going to be quite happy there!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a beautiful room it has such lovely light and is nice and big I bet you are just crazy to get it up and going . You will have so much fun in it when it is done.
ReplyDeleteLots of progress here. You'll soon have everything in and set up, and I bet you can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteLots of work, but it looks like you will be enjoying that wonderful space, very soon. Have fun decorating it.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm jealous, that room is so great! As long as the lights are nice and bright you won't even think about them after you've made the rest of the room your own.
ReplyDeleteYour sewing room is going to be fabulous. Redecorating is really lots a lot of work! My husband is currently repainting our bedroom. We've lived with the previous owner's choice of wallpaper for 18 years now; it was time. We've had really good luck using a low-odor oil based primer to cover the wallpaper instead of removing it. (It helps that the wallpaper is in perfect shape.) I'm going to have a blue bedroom; I'm SO excited. lol But not as excited as if I were going to have a sewing space like yours. Wow!!! I think the light fixtures are fine. As long as they put out lots of light they'll look great. I mean, how often do you actually look at the lights when you're in a room?
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Susan in Texas
Oh, would love to have a sewing room of such proportions! I only have a tiny room that is bursting at the seams. (Hmm. Does it need a seam ripper?) Oh, to be able to spread out.
ReplyDeleteI have some serious envy over the size of that space and windows....the drooling won't stop...guess I need a towel.
ReplyDeleteGiggles,
Kelly
Super room, could fit a few of mine in there. Is that a brick wall on the right, perhaps with a fireplace?
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, what a great looking room! You can set up a whole slew of machines. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteI am envious of all your space! It will be so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLovely light, there! Hope it's all fixed up soon and ready to play in :)
ReplyDeleteWow oh wow! It's going to be so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have one fabulous space when finished. Ahh it will be so nice to nest and create
ReplyDeleteHI, your sewing room is going to be so nice! Hint: (Plan for plenty of electrical outlets!)
ReplyDeleteI just ordered your Heart Table Topper>could not resist! It is so pretty! Never done any applique in my life; but lots of garment sewing and machine+hand quilting, so with your instructions I'm confident I can do it! Happy Stitching!
