MY NEW TOY!!!!!
Pfaff Creative Sensation 5.5…..and I love love love it.
Yes, the table is a mess, it seems that every time we bring a load in from San Antonio that my tables and any surface areas get loaded up and then it takes me a while to clean it off….poor me (smiling).
It will be this way for a while anyways until I get my sewing room and even after, right now I can use the move as an excuse. I will have to think of another when I actually get some space to sew in…
My husband and son laugh at me because the first thing I did when I got here was set up a sewing space and then this little beauty joined me.
Don’t you think the leaf would make a great quilt with the leaf squares and some green Samoan fabric for sashing????
I had a few learning curves and there are still some curves ahead but I have my sister down the road Beverly from Quilters Corner and Marjorie at Marjorie’s Quilting Bee and a few other blogging friends like Gene from Gene Black and Alabama Artist that offer help when I need it.
I know that some of you may be weary of ebay but this is where I get all of my machines.
I have gotten some awesome deals and this is one of them. It only had 60 hours when she sold it to me. She said it was too much of a machine for her.
One little tip my sister, Jeanette from Inchworm Fabrics gave me (she is the one that got me hooked on ebay and showed me what to look for)… she said…usually when someone ask a lot for shipping hardly anyone bids and she was soooooooooooooooo right. No one bid on this, the shipping was high but I knew how much I wanted to spend and I was not going one penny over and that included shipping. I couldn’t understand why the same machine would have over 30 bids and this one had none until I remembered what she had told me. I say....LUCKY ME!!!
It is 33 degrees outside and I am so much like a reptile, when it gets cold, I move sooooooooo slow. Actually, I just want to find a place to curl up in until it warms up.
Merry Christmas to you. What a wonderful present to self! I'm going to have to start looking on eBay. You seem to find a lot of bargains there. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! LUCKY YOU!! You must have been a very good girl this year!! Enjoy...and I know you will!!

So you like it better than the Horizon? That is still the machine I am leaning towards.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you'll be having a lot of fun Barb! Do you have any problems with machines getting damaged in shipping from ebay? I bought 2 Singer 15-91's last year and the cases were destroyed, fortunately the machines were okay. I just bought a Accuquilt Go machine and like yours.... the shipping was high but only 2 of us bid on it. It should be here this weekend. I saw a featherweight but.....was afraid of damage.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Barb, it is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteSweet. I just scored a juki exceed 600 used at my favorite dealer. I waiting for the person who traded it in to return some of the feet before I go get it.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the new machine!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve the very best. You are a great shopper and I'm delighted to hear you are happy with your new machine. Looks like it stitches beautifully.

What a lovely new toy you have to play with. If it were me, I'd be saying to heck with the house stuff, and shutting myself away with this.

Wow that looks like a beauty, does is machine quilt too. Is that because you have been a good girl this year. We get so happy over a new machine. Have fun with it . I just got my tree up and decorations today would have rather sewed but thought I had better make the effort for the grandchildren. Have fun playing with that new machine.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are going to have a lot of fun with your new machine! When and if I ever move, a studio space will absolutely be the first space I set up. Definitely before the kitchen, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI bet you're going to have a wonderful time with this new machine! Merry, merry Christmas! blessings, marlene
