ANOTHER FIND IN MY ATTIC

Yesterday one of my sons went up into the attic and passed down a box that was labeled "Quilt Tops" 1966

Oh my goodness yes......

There are forty of these blocks

I actually made this quilt when I first stated quilting for a young gal who graduated college.  Wish I had a picture but I don’t.
I didn’t have much money so I used two different color sheets, I blanket stitched the flower center and hand quilted it…what was I thinking?

You can go here for the pattern:  Here is is called the Amish Dahlia, also known as the Missouri Daisy among other names.
Hope all of you are having a fabulous day today…I sure am, it is exciting to see what all is in this box, come back again for the rest of the story.

  4. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

What an amazing find. I truly do believe someone above really wanted you to buy this house and make it your forever home. And, that they knew you'd love their quilts and quilting in this home as much as they did. How very special. I look forward to learning more about what is in this box and any historical insights you might find. Enjoy!

  20. I have been looking through your posts with all your fantastic finds. I have a double knit quilt made out of those blocks. I have an old pattern book with that pattern in it. I have actually thought of making the quilt again but out of up to date fabrics. Don't know if I will try to start it this year or not.
