WE ARE DOING THE OLD DOG THING AGAIN....CAN AN OLD DOG LEARN NEW TRICKS?????

Here is my new baby.... Pfaff 4.0 expression.

 I sold my pfaff 2058....the Horizon was sold a while back.


 This is about the same size as the Horizon but the pfaff has dual feed and the Horizon had this big walking foot.

 Don't get me wrong, I loved the Horizon but I really wanted the dual feed.

 This machine does not have the lever that lifts the foot...it has a button to lift and a button to lower. My hand keeps going to the back of the machine to lift and lower...driving me crazy....

 I used the lever a lot when I blanket stitch...now I don't know what to do with my hands.... What a thing to complain about...RIGHT!!!! WHAAAAAAA poor me....

Working on another octopus quilt..... I love this one. YOu can not see the gray in the white and pink squares...one day I will take a good picture...

    Oh is he cute! One quick question. How big are your squares in the border? I am trying to do a similar type border on my raccoon quilt and wondering how big to make the squares. Really cute octopus!

    I have to say that I like the manual lever to do the presser foot. I rarely used the button to lift the foot on my Babylock. On my Janome it is only manual and I am just fine with that.

    Congratulations! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it but it will drive you crazy until you do, LOL. Does this one do embroidery?

    I recently acquired a treadle that actually has a presser foot lifter that you hit with your knees so you can keep both hands on your project, it is 100 years old! Thought that was pretty neat! I love your octopus!

    Barb you will get the hang of tha tnew machine before you know....So go sew sew sew so you learn it faster.

    Congrats on your new baby! I think I would have a problem getting used to not having a lever for the pressure foot too...good luck with that!

    I forgot about the dual feed feature. Big difference. I'm sure you'll master it soon.

    Your quilt is absolutely beautiful. Just makes me smile. What a wonderful design, choice of fabrics and colors.

    Congrats! I hope you get used to the button thing. I can do either with my BL, but when I'm just sewing, I usually use the lever.

    Lucky you! What a great machine that is - I have a few friends with Pfaff's and they swear by them. Both of my machines have knee lifts, and I've gotten to the point where I can't hardly sew without it. It's so handy (pun totally unintended until I realized it LOL!!!)
